I loved the book ending on a great cliffhanger leading into the next.

Didn't work for me

I love Chloe's other books, but for some reason this one just didn't stick with me. It might simply come down to being former military and the military being portrayed as uninformed bad guys. The characters were the strong point of this book for me I could understand the motivations of all the characters. I am not familiar with New Orleans, but looking up the names of the places helped me fill in the blanks while listening.

Great story and amazing characters

Realizing I had never read on of Andre's books, I started with this one and love the world that is built in this book. The characters are not black and white, but a mix of grey that makes the times they do the right thing even more impressive.
