I’m a bit conflicted about the book. As a bit of a “Casual fan” of Star Wars since a child I felt sort of thrust into the story with “phantom Menace” and its characters. This book really lays foundations to characters and the events leading right up to. I appreciate the overall expansion of my understanding to the whole Star Wars story. Overall I recommend it , however I found this book focusing on allot of the political issues leading up to events and the constant jumping of the story to different characters confusing at times. I found myself constantly rewinding to make sure I was following the story correctly. This book was definitely a chore to get through in my opinion. It also felt like it barely had enough action every once in a while to keep me from giving up on the story. I sort of shelved this book for a couple months after kinda struggling with it. However I’m glad I pressed through to finish it, it was worth it. I totally dig the ending and the broader understanding of the Star Wars story

Ive heard bits and pieces of this story growing up , spent much time around this area hunting,fishing other outdoor activities. A little chilling to hear parts of a murder case taking place in areas you’re familiar with. Crazy story , Makes you think twice about talking to the wood ticks up there , pigs gotta eat too !

Gunter K. Koschorrek was a machine-gunner on the Russian front in WWII. He wrote his illicit diary on any scraps of paper he could lay his hands on. As keeping a diary was strictly forbidden, he sewed the pages into the lining of his thick winter coat and deposited them with his mother on infrequent trips home on leave. The diary went missing, and it was when he was reunited with his daughter in America some 40 years later that it came to light and became Blood Red Snow.

I hate to write a bad review because I know people work very hard to write books. I only listened to about 3 hours of the book and I just cannot bring myself to continue. The story is all over the place and cites some of the information from places like reddit. I'm only writing this so you don't waste the time and money like I did. However if you're looking for a great alien book I really enjoyed "Day after Roswell". Was exactly what I was looking for and far more credible than this book...
