This series has held up to a wonderful standard. The story keeps pulling you along, making the enjoyment constant. The narrator though the series has expressed the story and characters to a great extent. I would recommend this series, and hope for more.

I truly love this series! Got the first one on a whim, and was wowed by it. Itched till I got the next one, and now I have finished that, I lament that the third is not yet done!!
So to the universe I offer up my pleas, BRING OUT THE THIRD BOOK!!
This story while split into 3 volumes/books, is one continuous story so far, and a wonderful epic fantasy, that grabs you, makes you laugh, chuckle, and nod along.

Love fantasy games with groups and quests, dungeon crawlers, paper and pen games? Then you should try this book, Seen from the two sides, the sentient new born dungeon, and the country lad turning into a 'hero'. Great humour, looking at the taken for grated genre from the side. The world and its makeup is described throughout the book, not leaving gaps of how and why to confuse, explaining everything you need to know.
The Narration in this is superb, the books jumps into life grabs hold and carries you to the end.
So we have the 'hero' Dale thrust into the world. Struggling too become more the farmer he was, and thrown into the world of being a dungeoneer.
A Dungeon named Cal and his companion Will'o'wisp both essentially children learning as they go.
The Evil Necromancers! plotting in the background!
The Elves with their machinations.
And so much more!
Fantasy! Humour! and a world filled with detail and adventure!

That is how the story starts, with the classic evil laugh. I felt at that point this book had potential. I was right.
The Narrator brought this story to life, made every character vivid and unique. I was laughing all the time through this book, and while it is a love story, it is really only at the end when it becomes a true romance. Before that it is gay unicorns, lecurious dragons, sweet but violent half giants, corn obsessed cults, Great Magicians in pink shoes, Dark Wizards with all the classis villain short comings. This story is filled with Humour. You love fantasy, appreciate humour, want the romance? Listen!

He had never smoked anything in his life, but as the new kid in town trying to make friends, he foolishly let his new buddy Reggie talk him into trying a joint that he'd picked up from a new dealer. Before he knew it, Tom was having a seriously bad trip; a total out-of-body experience where the world had dissolved around him.

Great Story, Great Performance

This story was wonderful, a rich and detailed fantasy world, filled with humour, action, adventure, and of course the question of humanity. A world where all of fantasy seems too exist, and be set against the main character.
I heartily recommend this story to anyone who likes fantasy manga/anime, litRPG(even though it is not part of that genre, you should still enjoy this), and of course styling aliken to terry Pratchett.
The Narrator brings this story to life and adds to its enjoyment.
I listened to this great story in a marathon over a course of 3 days, taking breaks only for life intrusions. I can not wait to listen too the next book.

Stephen Briggs brings life and depth, to my favourite of Terry Pratchetts books. Vimes and his entourage, are truly wonderful in this a quest for truth, tolerance, and making time for storytime. As usual filled to the brim with satire.
