Historia
Having been abandoned on the steps of an orphanage as an infant, lovable car thief and Dublin charmer Mahony assumed all his life that his mother had simply given him up. But when he receives an anonymous note suggesting that foul play may have led to his mother's disappearance, he sees only one option: to return to the rural Irish village where he was born and find out what really happened 26 years ago.

loved it and didn’t want it to end
Revisado: 03-02-18
i fell in love with the story and the narrator. it is so beautifully told and each person from the auld biddies to young ida was just as fully human as the main characters. Everything about the story drew me in and the initial secret became just one of many wonderful parts of the story. i listened to some parts over and over just for the sheer joy of it. I hope that Aiden narrates Hoarder as well because much as i loved it I couldn’t do nearly as good a job in my head of getting Cathall Flood’s accent. I fell in love with this book and can’t wait fir the next one on audible

Love this narrator
Revisado: 10-10-14
If you could sum up The Drop in three words, what would they be?
Newcastle Cracking characters
What did you like best about this story?
actually I loved the guy who read it. His accent was incredible and he never missed a beat
Which character – as performed by David Nellist – was your favorite?
I think he did a great job with the main character but i also really liked his women's voices and kinaiir. he was great as the Glasgow family
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
it made me laugh out loud at some of the phrases I recognize from my childhood and at those things he said about his girlfriend Laura. It was funny that her mothers ashes saved him.
Any additional comments?
i have purchased the other two books and the other one you have with the same narrator. it was like listening to Jimmy Nail.
