Read this mystery story, you will not be disappointed. From the characters to the plot twists, it is well-written and keeps you asking for more throughout the story. It deals with family dynamics, relationships, grief, loss, mystery, divorce, new relationships, quest for truth, sacrifices, suffering, narcissism, jealousy, and love. I highly recommend this book to all.

Inspiring and Life Changing!
Revisado: 12-08-21
Such a valuable message in this book. As a white woman, I must work to change myself from a passive racist to an active anti-racist. With the leadership of Layla F. Saad, I am taking the first steps to changing my way of thinking, acting, and speaking to stop myself from sending messages that hurt BIPOC and that continue the oppression of them. Thank you so much for writing this book.

Historia
When Elwood Curtis, a black boy growing up in 1960s Tallahassee, is unfairly sentenced to a juvenile reformatory called the Nickel Academy, he finds himself trapped in a grotesque chamber of horrors. Elwood’s only salvation is his friendship with fellow “delinquent” Turner, which deepens despite Turner’s conviction that Elwood is hopelessly naive, that the world is crooked, and that the only way to survive is to scheme and avoid trouble.

Excellent Book. A must read.
Revisado: 09-21-20
This is a book everyone should read. It educates the reader on the history of racism and the way that Black people were beaten, abused, tortured, and killed because they were Black.
