Historia
This is the story of Corrie's life with her mother, her father, her siblings, and her aunts before World War II began. This book is a testament to how God prepared one family through a father's faithfulness to his Savior and the Word of God for the most sacrificial service a family could do. Beginning in the years before Corrie was born, In My Father's House paints a beautiful story from which families today can glean valuable and eternally lasting lessons.

Historia
A sobering and fascinating study on war in the modern era, Unrestricted Warfare carefully explores strategies that militarily and politically disadvantaged nations might take in order to successfully attack a geopolitical super-power like the United States. American military doctrine is typically led by technology; a new class of weapon or vehicle is developed, which allows or encourages an adjustment in strategy. Military strategists Qiao Liang and Wang Xiangsui argue that this dynamic is a crucial weakness in the American military.

Despite the Original Publication Date, It's Timely
Revisado: 03-31-23
Very insightful. Despite being published a quarter of a century (1998) ago, taken in the context of what is occurring today, events take on a different meaning and purpose if we place them (and analyze them) in the context of the author's thesis in this work. One may disagree, but in light of this work, you must at least consider the possibility. However, remotely, you may want to view events through the lens of the author's definition and analysis presented in this work, the significance and timing of seemingly random re-occurring crises.

Historia
The left has corrupted the U.S. legal system. Wielding the law as a weapon, arrogant judges and lawless prosecutors are intimidating, silencing, and even imprisoning Americans who stand in the way of their radical agenda. Their "enemies list" even includes parents who dare to speak up for their children at school board meetings. In this shocking new book, Senator Ted Cruz takes listeners inside the justice system, showing how the wrong hands on the levers of power can strangle liberty, crush opposition, and wreck lives.

An Eye Opener and a Confirmation
Revisado: 11-03-22
An enlightening look at past and current presidents' involvement and initiation of action in Alphabet Agencies (primarily three in focus). It only highlights the progressive left's ongoing development of Administrative Agencies and the Legal System, filled with unelected officials who appear to be willing and able to act at the direction of the Executive branch - and have done so for both sides of the party aisle. Like him or not, Senator Cruz presents the facts on those activities - easily researchable. Considering his position on particular Committees and experience in politics, he is in the place to know. Included is a PDF with the sauce. An enjoyable listen designed to pique your curiosity to verify - agree or disagree - but look nonetheless. An educated citizenry is paramount in a viable constitutional republic. You may disagree. If so, bring your sauce.

Necessary read to remember those who went ahead
Revisado: 10-23-22
A necessary read/listen for all believers. A book to remember those persecuted and stood firm until the end. An eye-opener to the depravity of those who scourged and mistreated others and to the grace and commitment of those who did not revile those who mistreated them but went ahead with boldness. Also, to remind us that persecution and martyrdom continue to this day in many parts of the globe for those who call on the name of Christ. Note: Voice of the Martyrs (VOM) is a resource for those who wish to pray for others suffering similar fates today for their faith and testimonies.

Historia
The Confessions of St. Augustine is one of the most moving diaries ever recorded of a man's journey to the fountain of God's grace. Writing as a sinner, not a saint, Augustine shares his innermost thoughts and conversion experiences, and wrestles with the spiritual questions that have stirred the hearts of the thoughtful since time began.

The Deep Spiritual Journey of the Author
Revisado: 10-20-22
Confessions is a work best digested in small doses with appropriate contemplation and consideration of the confession. The narration is good. However, if you are familiar and comfortable with the KJV language usage of "thee and thou," you will be satisfied with this translation from Latin to English. If not, then you should select another version. Besides this, the work is rich and rewarding. His work is a transparent dialogue. It confronts the reader with the timeless realities of the human struggle for St. Augustine, his time, and ours through his spiritual autobiography of trials, tribulations, joys, sorrow, and ultimate conversion to the Christian faith.

Historia
George Orwell depicts a gray, totalitarian world dominated by Big Brother and its vast network of agents, including the Thought Police - a world in which news is manufactured according to the authorities' will and people live tepid lives by rote. Winston Smith, a hero with no heroic qualities, longs only for truth and decency. But living in a social system in which privacy does not exist and where those with unorthodox ideas are brainwashed or put to death, he knows there is no hope for him.

A Must Listen
Revisado: 09-25-22
I enjoyed the narration. An often quoted classic. Relevant in the era written (1940's) and now in its ability to express warnings of totalitarianism, whatever the package. I have heard statements like "how prophetic" in describing this book - appropriate. However, my impression was more of a portrayal of timeless truth in describing the potential nature of individuals and groups - and the danger of not recognizing when an entity crosses the Rubicon.

An Enjoyable Read
Revisado: 08-31-22
It is a story of profound and timeless truth portrayed through the characters of Animal Farm. The current generation should read this book as a reminder of the past and the nature of humanity (written by an author who experienced this historical period rather than reflecting or reporting or analyzing that period retrospectively). It is professionally narrated. Highly recommend.

Historia
A masterpiece of satire, this classic has entertained and enlightened readers the world over with its sly and ironic portrayal of human life and foibles from the vantage point of Screwtape, a highly placed assistant to "Our Father Below". At once wildly comic, deadly serious, and strikingly original, C.S. Lewis gives us the correspondence of the worldly-wise old Devil to his nephew, Wormwood, a novice demon in charge of securing the damnation of an ordinary young man.

A Great Overview - Worth the Read and Listen
Revisado: 08-25-22
I enjoyed both the reader and the content. I understood and chose this book for its perspective - Conservatism and the particular worldview of the author and the choices he made. I appreciated the concise summary of each book included in this work, how the individual works and authors related to each other, and the particular political ideology and worldview. I recognize others may disagree with his political or worldview choices, but the title provides clues to the subject matter. One who strongly opposes this position may find other works better suited.
