the male lead voice does an absolutely amazing job. the female lead voice does and amazing job. the story drags a little but the inflection and emotion portrayed but the voice actors keep it going.
love the story. it's well done. the characters are adorable.

that's a lot of... umm.. trauma..

Overall i enjoyed the story but sometimes the descriptions were lacking. other times the descriptions were a bit much. it was kind of hit or miss for that. the story had interesting characters, good character development, and a well paced plot line. i thought the story was unique and fresh but i have limited experience reading dark romance. i really did enjoy the number of varied predicaments and things that happened in the book.
i know it's supposed to be dark but damn... was not expecting.. all that. not that sometimes the characters even seemed to mind as they kind of brush it off and don't care.
the HEA declaration made in the description is highly questionable. technically i suppose it's true but ehhhhhh... it certainly doesn't feel like it.
i disliked the narration of the MMC. i found it void of inflection to the point of sounding like AI. i get that sometimes that might have been a good choice given the MMCs personality but even when he was supposedly impassioned, it sounded flat and robotic. it really was distracting to the point of ruining any immersion you could get.
I'd say to go and check the trigger warnings before you start but chances are, you're here because of the first book so it's probably too late for that.
