What does everyone in the modern world need to know? Renowned psychologist Jordan B. Peterson's answer to this most difficult of questions uniquely combines the hard-won truths of ancient tradition with the stunning revelations of cutting-edge scientific research. Humorous, surprising, and informative, Dr. Peterson tells us why skateboarding boys and girls must be left alone, what terrible fate awaits those who criticize too easily, and why you should always pet a cat when you meet one on the street.

NEGATIVE RESPONSE BAD REVIEW
Revisado: 08-11-21
I hope the title of this review got your attention. If you are reading the reviews you will find that the negative reviews are short and in my opinion light on real criticism. When a person is so intelligent that they close off their mind to any book that has any reference to the Bible they have stopped thinking and started reacting. When a person becomes completely closed off to any text that has biblical references they seem to become jaded and negative. The rejection of any biblical teaching is not enlightened its emotional. Read the stoics. Read Stillness is the Key... It will tick you off if you don't like the Bible but it will help you understand how your emotions are shutting down your critical thinking skills. The bible is great it convicts people and gets them to change and become better people.

Historia
New York, 1888. Gas lamps still flicker in the city streets, but the miracle of electric light is in its infancy. The person who controls the means to turn night into day will make history - and a vast fortune. A young untested lawyer named Paul Cravath, fresh out of Columbia Law School, takes a case that seems impossible to win. Paul's client, George Westinghouse, has been sued by Thomas Edison over a billion-dollar question: Who invented the lightbulb and holds the right to power the country?

Who understood the risk inherent in the assumption of ever-rising real-estate prices, a risk compounded daily by the creation of those arcane, artificial securities loosely based on piles of doubtful mortgages? Michael Lewis turns the inquiry on its head to create a fresh, character-driven narrative brimming with indignation and dark humor, a fitting sequel to his number-one best-selling Liar’s Poker.

This is one of the rare gems of historical fiction. If you like O'Bryan and Bernard Cornwell you will love Pressfield. Narration is on par with Patrick Tull! I could not stop listening.

Historia
Exotic India is as near as the voice answering an 800 number for one dollar an hour. Communist China is as close as the nearest Wal-Mart, its shelves full of goods made in Chinese factories. But India and China are vastly different nations, with opposing economic and political strategies - strategies we must understand to survive in the new global economy. The Elephant and the Dragon explains how these nations have spurred a new "gold rush", and what this will mean for the rest of the world.

Great bed time ritual
Revisado: 03-23-07
My kids are 4 and 5 and can be difficult to get to bed! So as any loving father of audio books I decided to give this a try for a calming soothing bed time ritual that was longer than a Dr Seusse book. Well it is magical!! My daughter cannot wait to listen and my son gets into them once they start. They listen to them over and over. ENJOY!!

EXCELLENT
Revisado: 08-12-05
I am a huge fan of the Patrick O'Brian novels and have been looking for authors that write about that time period fiction or non fiction. This book hit the mark. It is well researched and well written. The authors meticulous research and writing style will lend itself well to educating future generations. He brings the story alive! The narrator is not the best (he is actually hard to listen to) but after you get into the story you do not notice or care.

I do know now that publishing books has become more important than creating a masterpiece. Please come back and thrill me with suspense, fear and wondering. You have such talent to produce spellbinding tales. This is not one of them and the one before was not one either. Take some time off. But come back with a good one or you will be known only as a pulp fiction grinder.
