Historia
Wyoming game warden Joe Pickett faces two different kinds of raging beasts—one animal, one human—in this riveting new novel from #1 New York Times bestseller C. J. Box. A rogue grizzly bear has gone on a rampage—killing, among others, the potential fiancé of Joe’s daughter. At the same time, Dallas Cates, whom Joe helped lock up years ago, is released from prison with a special list tattooed on his skin. He wants revenge on the people who sent him away: the six people he blames for the deaths of his entire family and the loss of his reputation and property.

NEVER A DISAPPOINTMENT!
Revisado: 03-06-24
This series is by far the best I’ve listened to and this latest book is no exception. Really great! The story line is interesting and the narration second-to-none. I hope as CJ Box writes more in this series, please don’t change narrators! My only “dislike” is it came to an end.

Historia
Seth Hubbard is a wealthy man dying of lung cancer. He trusts no one. Before he hangs himself from a sycamore tree, Hubbard leaves a new, handwritten, will. It is an act that drags his adult children, his Black maid, and Jake into a conflict as riveting and dramatic as the murder trial that made Brigance one of Ford County's most notorious citizens, just three years earlier. The second will raises far more questions than it answers. Why would Hubbard leave nearly all of his fortune to his maid? Had chemotherapy and painkillers affected his ability to think clearly?

Worth Every Penny!
Revisado: 11-30-18
This is one of, if not the best audible book I’ve ever purchased. The story is intriguing and keeps your interest the whole time. The characters are well developed and have a lot of personality. The writing style is great. And the performance is stellar! The cadence and inflection and style is perfect for the story. And Michael Beck’s accent is spot on for the characters. So often people try to imitate a Southern accent and do so so poorly. But Michael’s true Southern accent is delightful and a joy to listen to. He makes the characters charming and believable. Truly the best narration I’ve ever heard.

Awful
Revisado: 08-31-18
I was excited to find a book by 2 great authors but this was really poorly written. The story line was ok but there were so many cliches and trite remarks that at times I groaned out loud. My advice is to pass on this one.

Historia
On a day that begins like any other, Hal receives a mysterious letter bequeathing her a substantial inheritance. She realizes very quickly that the letter was sent to the wrong person - but also that the cold-reading skills she's honed as a tarot card reader might help her claim the money. Soon, Hal finds herself at the funeral of the deceased...where it dawns on her that there is something very, very wrong about this strange situation and the inheritance at the center of it. Full of spellbinding menace and told in Ruth Ware's signature suspenseful style, an addictive thriller.

Historia
It was the standard blackmail scheme. For years, sultry Lysa Dean's name on a movie had meant a bonanza at the box office. Now a set of pictures could mean the end of her career. When first approached for help by lovely Dana Holtzer, Lysa's personal secretary, Travis McGee is thoroughly turned off by the tacky details. But being low on cash, and tenderly attracted by the star's intriguingly remote secretary, McGee sets out to locate his suspects -- only to find that they start turning up dead!

He's my favorite!
Revisado: 09-18-17
I just love his writing style. I listen on Audible and his books make me happy. I love the humor and descriptions and the characters. But Robert Petkoff makes it for me. I listened to (tried to) another of MacDonald's books narrated by someone else and didn't make it through 20 minutes of it. Awful! Not the story, but the narrator. Story is probably great, but I'll never know 'cause can't listen to the narrator. But Petkoff is the perfect choice. This particular story was really good. I highly recommend it.
