Seventeen-year-old Hoshi'tiwa had a simple life. The daughter of a humble corn grower, she planned to marry a storyteller's apprentice. The silver man first appeared in the sewers beneath Manhattan, where it killed its first victim. As Saxon and Associates try to track down and stop the man behind the lethal golem, Manhattan erupts in flames. Pursued by the police, who suspect that Saxon and his aides are behind the lumbering horror, the Man with the Green Eyes, Jerry and Weed have only a single evening to destroy the creature and save the city.
