Historia
Tim Cornish thought he'd gotten away with murder. For months after he'd killed his lover off the Alaskan coast, there hadn't been a word. But then the letters started to arrive. It seems that someone knows what Tim has done.... This compelling thriller delivers such a dark picture of romantic love that murder seems its natural mate. Frightening, suspenseful, and deeply unsettling, No Night Is Too Long is a modern crime masterpiece and will be enjoyed by readers of P. D. James and Ian Rankin.

A bit disappointing for Barbara Vine
Revisado: 10-04-23
Generally appreciate her work but this was just too far fetched and the characters disagreeable.

Historia
It’s spring in the tiny town of Damariscotta, a tourist haven on the coast of Maine known for its oysters and antiques. Andrew, a high school English teacher recently returned to the area, has brought his family to Ed and Steph Thatch’s sprawling riverside estate to attend a reception for the Amherst women’s lacrosse team. Back when they were all teenagers, Andrew never could have predicted that Ed, descended from a long line of lobstermen, or Steph, a decent student until she dropped out to start a family, would ever send a daughter to a place like Amherst.

Engrossing local
Revisado: 06-19-22
I’m a sucker for local specifics and this one delivers. Don’t know how accurately.
The story swept me along. Not really believable in details but in behavior.
Disappointing ending. But still worth the journey.

Historia
When they met at an airport, it was love at first sight. But in time, everything collapsed. As an unnamed but unforgettable woman muses on her life—from meet cute to marriage and parenthood—her recollections inexorably build to a devastating truth. In this shattering performance, Carey Mulligan, star of the critically lauded drama An Education, captivates audiences with playwright Dennis Kelly’s harrowing ruminations on family, ambition, gender, and violence.

Wow! Just wow! And entirely pertinent now.
Revisado: 10-02-18
Don't right many reviews, but want to give huge kudos for everyone involved in the project. The monologue is amazing. Mulligan is superb. So thankful that Audible put together this opportunity. I hope you do more of this kind of unique collaboration to bring us such stunning work that doesn't happen elsewhere.

Historia
People often say, "I feel like I've been run over by a truck." Katie actually was. On a sunny morning bike ride in Brooklyn, 24-year-old Katie McKenna was forever changed when she was run over by an 18-wheeler. Being crushed under a massive semi wasn't something Katie should have survived. After 10 hours of emergency surgery, she woke to find herself in a body and a life that would never be the same.

surprised with inspiration and humour
Revisado: 08-06-18
Was delighted by this listen which moved along quickly to tell of the original (and horrifying) accident and McKenna's grueling fight for recovery. It was an insight into what the human body can endure and what it can't and the rigors of coming back from a terrible injury. McKenna is a great listen for anyone who wants to walk alongside those enduring illness or injury as she let's us get a glimpse of what is helpful to say and do and what most decidedly is not. Wouldn't be a bad listen for anyone who professionally interacts with patients either. McKenna is frank about her emotions, thoughts, behavior and how her faith intersected with her recovery. All in all a real surprise winner of a listen.

What about Ron Keith???s performance did you like?
The reader had a fine voice and accent, which added to the sense of fun and drama in the story.
