The idea is ok but the weighting is terrible

The way the author writes makes it really hard to get through this book. The idea seems lifted from an old twilight zone. And rather than add to it, the author clutters it with verbose stanzas and prose.

Reads like propaganda

While it is indeed an compelling story the authors relationship to Mr. Chapman leads to a less than objective telling of the story.

Forrest gump and the end of western civilization

I sound a positive reviews and thought I'd give it a try, turns out the book can be summarized as Forrest gump and the end of Western civilization. The book starts off with promise but then devolves quickly into a right wing patriarchal misogynist racist wet dream. The characters are rather flat the good are very good the bad very bad. Billys disability appears and disappears when convenient. All in all its 25 hours you wont get back

Hard to finish

The transitions are odd and its difficult to follow. Characters speak with out being introduced and the listener is left to puzzle over whos talking and where the scene is. Music felt like it was lifted off a Goose Bumps episode from the 90's.
I felt the voice acting was well done but not enough to make up for the writing.
