Historia
London. A city drowning in fog. Amid that fog, a man with no name dies above a strange junkshop. Threads of mist and intrigue weave around a court case with no resolution, linking great country houses with the lowest slum in the city, mingling the high-born with a boy who sweeps the filthy streets, enshrouding devious plots and sudden murder, bringing together two extraordinary women – Lady Dedlock and Esther Summerson - who seem to have nothing whatsoever in common but who will find themselves inextricably linked.

I thoroughly enjoyed this production of Bleak House. The performances were excellent and Dickens transports you to foggy old London for an intriguing tale. Loved it!

Historia
It was 1970 in a defeated Rhode Island fishing town. Vietnam and Nixon dominated the national news. Both the near and distant future looked bleak. But they were five inseparable high school friends with something incredible in common: an unwavering resolve to look after each other no matter what hell life threw at them. And they were on a mission. The plan was simple: Go off the grid before they turned 18 to avoid the draft. They’d sell some grass, stack some cash, then head west and start a commune. What could possibly go wrong?

Great story and performance
Revisado: 09-01-24
The story captures the uncertainty and frailty of teens in high school and how the friendships keep them afloat. It speaks to how you find your group to help you survive that part of life before you find your own way as an adult. It spoke to me.

Good character development
Revisado: 02-18-24
This story kept me intrigued. It had interesting characters but also some classic elements like the loner private investigator. I like the narration because it didn’t distract from the story but was very effective at keeping my attention. Very enjoyable!

Soaring ambition. Unwavering integrity. Billie Joe Armstrong isn’t the first punk to negotiate mainstream success, but he might be its most undisguised example. In Welcome to my Panic, Green Day’s iconic front man holds nothing back as he tracks listeners though his deeply personal and artistic journey in raw detail. Matching his emotional storytelling with new, exclusive, recordings of Green Day’s biggest hits, Armstrong chronicles the seminal moments in his life: the trauma and triumphs that have come to define him.

Loved riding along as he described his journey. Since I’m not a musician, I find it very interesting to find out how musicians get started and what Keeps them going. Very authentic story and voice.

Loved the story; adored Danny’s mom
Revisado: 02-10-20
We all have family mysteries somewhere in our history and this was a fascinating story that sought to bring to light the realities and perceptions on all sides. I absolutely adored Danny’s mom. I could listen to her all day. I’m glad she was able to get closure and healing. Highly recommend. Very uplifting in the end.

Historia
James Dommek, Jr., an Alaska Native writer and musician, sheds new light on a real-life mystery that pits Native American folklore against the US justice system. In the vast Alaskan Arctic, legend has it there once lived a mythic tribe—Iñukuns—that only existed in rumors and whispers. This changed forever when an actor-turned-fugitive, Teddy Kyle Smith, had an encounter that brought Iñukuns from myth to reality. Smith was an aspiring actor with a promising career until it all came quickly crashing down with a gunshot, a manhunt, bloodshed, and other frightful events.

Transports you to Alaska wilderness
Revisado: 11-14-19
The narrator is a great story teller and he has a great story to tell. He transports you to Alaska. I don’t know much about the Alaska or the natives there but his story and the people who speak in it are rich with accents and personality. It made me want to travel to Alaska to experience the people and culture particularly in some of the more remote areas. Very well done!

So in late 1969, when handsome Chase Andrews is found dead, the locals immediately suspect Kya Clark, the so-called Marsh Girl. But Kya is not what they say. Great character development
Revisado: 10-28-18
I got pulled into the story almost immediately. I could picture the marsh and the people. This book is beautifully written. I cared immensely about the main character. I don’t know when was the last time that I cared as much about a character. The narration was very well done. It added to the story and didn’t distract from it. I highly recommend.
