The subtitle to this book is misleading 99% of this book is about WHY humans get hooked on a wide variety of addictions and his personal journey to these discoveries. If understanding the science behind why we get addicted and the science of why mindfulness can help your brain beat these addictions then this is your jam. But, if you are like me, then you'll have wished that the book started with the Epilogue where the author finally outlines HOW to break bad habits - he has 4 monthly subscription apps 1. Unwinding Anxiety 2. Eat Right Now 3. To Quit 4. Breathe by Dr. Jud
I am trying the "Eat Right Now" app, we'll see how it goes. But I could have saved myself 8 hours of listening and started the app last week if they had just started by saying "If you want the HOW go here" instead of slogging through the data

This book seems best suited for audio. I'm so glad I listened, it makes the Poetry Jam nights such an amazing experience! And it feels like the first book I've ever read that actually portrayed what it's like to be a beautiful girl in high school - it's not all rainbows

Excellent Narration

My favorite story was 'Come Dressed Up' - I'm not usually into BDSM elements but this was light and fun. The first person POV was amazingly well written. The "matter of fact" humor was hilarious and lightened the mood so that even someone not into those elements could sit back & enjoy the story.
The other stories were ok. I enjoyed the other cultural elements as well, like the British slang.
Honestly this narrator could read the phone book and sound sexy.
