Historia
It is the early 1960s in a country village in Ireland. Caithleen Brady and her attractive friend, Baba, are on the verge of womanhood and dreaming of spreading their wings in a wider world - of discovering love and luxury and liquor and above all, fun. With bawdy innocence, shrewd for all their inexperience, the girls romp their way through convent school to the bright lights of Dublin – where Caithleen finds that suave, idealised lovers rarely survive the real world.

Friendship of circumstance
Revisado: 06-07-16
Newly exploring Edna O'Brien as a wise woman writer. Her description of Ireland sets the stage, viscerally visual, against which the dialects of the main characters in conversation pulled me even further into the world a country girl in Ireland existed in.

Good story love Quin n Sam. David Colacci does such a good job except his female voices aren't believe able. Hard time distinguishing between them.

Historia
The Jackson women, Indiana and Amanda, have always had each other. Though their bond is strong, mother and daughter are as different as night and day. Indiana, a beautiful holistic healer, is a free-spirited bohemian. Long divorced from Amanda's father, she's reluctant to settle down with either of the men who want her - Alan, the wealthy scion of one of San Francisco's elite families, and Ryan, an enigmatic, scarred former Navy SEAL. While her mom looks for the good in people, Amanda is fascinated by the dark side of human nature - as is her father, the SFPD's deputy chief of homicide.

Brilliant.
Revisado: 06-29-15
First a story that grabs you and you never want it to let go. Once again as in other of her books, best written love making scenes. Amanda captures your heart and all the adults who love n enhance her with unconditional positive regard. The combination of every shade of humanity, personified, in battle of good vs evil. Iconoclastic personalities whom u adore or r repelled by. Steeping you in all the troubles of the world and allowing you to come away with a broader swath of understanding why humans are on such a wide spectrum of ethereal vs worldly and the contribution each position plays in the human species moving forward.

Horribly good.
Revisado: 06-12-15
Listening to this as a parent n grandparent it was very scary. So scary that although my main listening time is at night when I waken n would rather vanish into the world of fiction than my neurotic worrying mind, Harlan Coben had me listening to this book during the day. It got so intense I listened in the car and the morning I only had 1hr n 20 min to go I chased my husband out of the bedroom because I could not not find out how all the storyline ended. OMG. Coben once again brought them all to a completely satisfying ending.

Historia
Myron Bolitar has always dreamed about the femme fatale walking into his office and asking for help. The woman standing in his doorway has killer curves all right: She’s eight months pregnant, which kind of ruins the fantasy. Former tennis star Suzze T and her rock star husband, Lex, are both clients, and over the years Myron has negotiated his share of contracts for the power pair. But now Lex has disappeared and Suzze is in tears, fearing the online rumors questioning the baby’s paternity have driven away Lex.

Probably wouldn't be so fabulous if I hadn't read the first nine. So all Myron's bFFs were my BFFs. Going to miss all of them since I binge listened for that last two weeks. Coben' fanciful use of lines from musicals and old TV shows in the friends banter was delicious. His down to earth metaphors, priceless and writing of complex mysteries that had my mind puzzling constantly, tying up every loose end in a way that made perfect sense was exquisite. Loved fight scenes each duck n punch. Win's solid friendship n Espoita's perfect bookends to Myron's personality.
