Historia
Taryn Moore is young, beautiful, and brilliant…so why would she kill herself? When Detective Frankie Loomis arrives on the scene to investigate the girl’s fatal plunge from her apartment balcony, she knows in her gut there’s more to the story. Her instincts are confirmed when surprise information is revealed that could have been reason enough for Taryn’s suicide - or a motive for her murder.

Historia
It’s a beautiful day in Newport, Rhode Island, when Phoebe Stone arrives at the grand Cornwall Inn wearing a green dress and gold heels, not a bag in sight, alone. She's immediately mistaken by everyone in the lobby for one of the wedding people, but she’s actually the only guest at the Cornwall who isn’t here for the big event. Phoebe is here because she’s dreamed of coming for years—she hoped to shuck oysters and take sunset sails with her husband, only now she’s here without him, at rock bottom, and determined to have one last decadent splurge on herself.

Good listen
Revisado: 08-13-24
This was a fun listen and the narration was really good. I enjoyed the main character, Phoebe and how she just rolled with it all. Lila, the bride was a spoiled brat, but I enjoyed her relationship with Phoebe. There was a good bit of humor and I liked how it portrayed how life can change when we least expect it. Never give up!

screeching narrator
Revisado: 06-20-24
Kimberley Belle is an auto buy for me. I didn’t enjoy this one as much as others. It was historical fiction and listening on audio the female narrator ruined it with her screeching in parts. It was a good story just didn’t hold my interest as all others have.

Historia
Lark Smith has always had a plan for her life: find a fantastic guy, create a marriage as blissful as her parents’, pop out a couple of kids, and build a rewarding career as an oncologist. Things aren’t going so well. For one, the guy didn’t work out. Theoretically, she’d love to find someone else, but it hasn’t happened. Two, she’s just been transferred out of Oncology for being too emotional. (Is it her fault she’s a weeper?) Three, her parents just split up. Deviating from the plan was … well, not in the plan. A potential solution comes from the foul-tempered surgeon Lorenzo Santini.

Good listen
Revisado: 06-11-24
I always enjoy this authors books. Filled with emotion and some humor. I listened via audio and Xe Sands narration was not on par. I had to turn up the volume and even then it was mumbled. The other narrators did an excellent job. Three different women all at different crossroads in life and great stories behind each. I related more to Larks mom, being in her age group. Joy was a fun character. Definitely a good one!!

I really enjoyed this dark comedy of an interns daily experiences in a hospital. I laughed out loud so many times. Not what we are used to with the authors writing, but I hope there are more like this. The narration of the audio version was great!

Several Twists
Revisado: 04-07-24
In the first part of the book, it really sets up everyone’s story and makes me think ok what will happen here and to who and then the twists begin! And boy are they good twists. Who can you trust and who is the victim and who is the perpetrator. A great listen on Audible with good narration.

Crazy turn of events and I sure did enjoy them. Frieda’s books are fun and quick reads. I listened to this one via Audible and the narration was great except the voice seemed much older than what I’ve pictured for Millie.

Hi! I’m Dove Agnew, former successful dress designer who was living the high life in New York, until my sleazy business partner used my business to move his drugs, leaving me to pack my ruined reputation and move back home to the tiny town of Harland Creek. Despite the setback, all was going relatively well, until I found Gertrude Brown’s body on the floor of my mom’s quilt shop. Now, rumors are flying and all eyes are on me. I’m a murder suspect! Even my ex-boyfriend, the current chief of police, is suspicious of me.

Crazed characters
Revisado: 02-25-24
This was my first book by this author and I will be reading others. I listened via Audible and the narration was good. Halfway through, I didn’t trust any one of the characters. Lots of twists and turns and surprises throughout. Enjoyed it from Kindle Unlimited.
