Not what I expected

Total
4 out of 5 stars

Revisado: 06-25-07

His book was not what I expected. I had exposure to him in the "What the bleep do we know" movie, and thought he was a circus act. He does have a very bizarre style, but that is just him. Its real. He is actually very cogent and informative surrounding a very difficult topic to understand for us lay-people. It took a while to get used to his voice, but it was worth the time listening. I learned more than I expected and decided to get his other works. Fred has more to contribute to our knowledge base than just quantum physics.

It is interesting to read an account of someone involved in the end of the stargate program, at a time where they were involved in discrediting the whole program. I feel for Morehouse being put in that position and become a bit of a scapegoat. I don't think he really got to experience RV'ing as it truely is, but his experience is enlightening, and he has a wonderful writing style, plus an easy listening voice. I enjoyed this book and wish it was not abridged.

The Way of the Explorer Audiolibro Por Dr. Edgar Mitchell, Dwight Williams arte de portada

Deeper than expected

Total
5 out of 5 stars

Revisado: 05-14-07

Honestly, like most people, I view the Apollo rocket jockies as glorified test monkey's. This is proven false by Dr. Mitchell. He has a keen scientific mind, and uses it wisely in his book to look objectively, and subjectively at a very complex and simple subject. Delving into describing something which defies verbal discourse with ease, is admirable. I've read many of the authors he speaks of in his book, and I beleve he has come the closest to weaving all of them together in one coherent whole better than any before have.

ZPE is real

I enjoyed Greggs interpretation of the global field of energy that "The Isaiah Effect" embodies. His idea's were refined in his next book "Divine Matrix" and is similar to "The Field" by Lynn McTaggert. I think all these authors have evolving out of the Quantum Consciousness groups to express these very old idea's in new ways. It shows that current science is getting closer and closer to these old truths when men like Gregg with more of a science background choose to write about some of these greater truths they discover. Easy Listen

I've studied the concepts of the Field now for years, and find that Lynn has come the closest to weaving together all these difficult scientific quantum theories into a coherent whole field of knowledge. It spawned her Intention experiment, and is based on solid science. It takes mystical works from the past and cast them in a new light, making these concepts easy to digest. I'll listen to it more than once because it is useful information for daily life.

Foucault's Pendulum Audiolibro Por Umberto Eco arte de portada

Very Interesting

Total
4 out of 5 stars

Revisado: 05-04-07

I originally thought this would just be a fun listen of fringe conspiricy theories woven into a story, and it was that. But it is also so much more. I've learned alot of obscure history by researching some of the story lines mentioned, like the Rosicrucian order. Or even the science behind the Foucault pendulum. All of which is fascinating. If you liked the DiVinci Code you'll love this, it is made even better by Tim Curry's reading of it. His voice was made for books on tape!
