Historia
Fleetwood Mac's classic 1977 Rumours album topped the Billboard 200 for 31 weeks and won the Album of the Year Grammy. More recently, Rolling Stone named it the 25th greatest album of all time and the hit TV series Glee devoted an entire episode to songs from Rumours, introducing it to a new generation. Now, for the first time, Ken Caillat, the album's co-producer, tells the full story of what really went into making Rumours.

The behind the scenes stories were fascinating!
Revisado: 03-30-24
This book took me back to high school with a flood of memories and all the great music of the mid to late 70’s (before disco). I now have a new appreciation for just how good that era was and how much hard work, creativity, talent, and musicianship went into putting an album together. I also loved the narration. I didn’t want the stories to end.

Historia
Gazing at the stars, falling in love, or listening to music, we sometimes feel a transcendent connection with a cosmic unity and things larger than ourselves. But these experiences are not easily understood by science, which holds that all things can be explained in terms of atoms and molecules. Is there space in our scientific worldview for these spiritual experiences?

Enlightening and Engaging.

This is an incredibly well researched book and provides both legal and moral reasoning for why Church and State should always remain separated.

Historia
Charlie Reade looks like a regular high school kid, great at baseball and football, a decent student. But he carries a heavy load. His mom was killed in a horrific accident when he was seven, and grief drove his dad to drink. Charlie learned how to take care of himself—and his dad. When Charlie is seventeen, he meets a dog named Radar and her aging master, Howard Bowditch, a recluse in a big house at the top of a big hill, with a locked shed in the backyard. Sometimes strange sounds emerge from that shed.

A story with a young hero that this world could use.
Revisado: 11-04-22
This is SK at his best. I read a few negative reviews by people who I am afraid could not let go and just allow themselves to get lost in the story. It’s a magical adventure about a fairytale land, but with a narrative and lessons that apply to this world…which is much scary right now than any horror story.

Historia
We humans are the inheritors of a dynasty that has reigned over the planet for nearly 66 million years, through fiery cataclysm and ice ages: the mammals. Our lineage includes saber-toothed tigers, woolly mammoths, armadillos the size of a car, cave bears three times the weight of a grizzly, clever scurriers that outlasted Tyrannosaurus rex, and even other types of humans, like Neanderthals.

Revisado: 10-07-22
Sometimes, scientific books with a lot dates and technical nomenclature are difficult to listen to. This was not the case. The author wove in stories, antidotes, and personal experiences that made this fascinating book very easy to listen to. Steve Brusatte has written another outstanding book!

Historia
For at least 20,000 years, we have led not just an earthly existence, but a cosmic one. Celestial cycles drove every aspect of our daily lives. Our innate relationship with the stars shaped who we are - our art, religious beliefs, social status, scientific advances, and even our biology. But over the last few centuries we have separated ourselves from the universe that surrounds us. It's a disconnect with a dire cost.

This book has changed the way I think about my own mortality!
Revisado: 02-04-21
It may sound hyperbolic, but it is difficult to explain the profound d impact this book made on me. I cannot recommend it enough. Each chapter could be an entire book by itself. It has changed how I think about history, art, gods and demos, and of course, the Comos!

Historia
A 60 Minutes correspondent and former anchor of the CBS Evening News, Scott Pelley writes as a witness to events that changed our world. In moving, detailed prose, he stands with firefighters at the collapsing World Trade Center on 9/11, advances with American troops in combat in Afghanistan and Iraq, and reveals private moments with presidents (and would-be presidents) he’s known for decades. Pelley also offers a resounding defense of free speech and a free press as the rights that guarantee all others.

Simply, one of the best books I have ever read.
Revisado: 10-10-19
Masterfully told. Pelley’s narration of his own book was pitch perfect. His stories were beautifully crafted and emotionally touching. His insistence on really telling the truth captivated me. After listening and reading this book, I believe Pelley has become what he aspired to be as a young journalist under the tutelage of his CBS mentors...in my opinion, he is the most trustworthy journalist in America.
