Love all of Retzig novels
Revisado: 01-09-17
This is a wonderful sequel. Her characters and story are well developed and you care to learn more about them. Her stories are not the typical arc of romance novels. I would highly recommend this book.

The story was fun and the dialogue between characters was entertaining. The narrator was perfect. I hope this author and narrator do another story set in New Orleans. Definitely worth a credit or purchase.

Historia
Brains, guts, and ruthless ambition should be enough for a woman to come out on top in any fight. Except when the battle is over love, all bets are off. Cain Casey was groomed from birth to take the reins of the Casey family enterprises, which just happens to be one of the major crime organizations in New Orleans. Surviving by never turning away from a fight and knowing how to win at all costs, Cain is as careful with her heart as she is with her business - until she meets Emma Verde.

Ugh the narration
Revisado: 05-24-16
The story was refreshing in the sense it wasn't the typical lesbian romance arc of misunderstandings and then a happy ending. Think of a lesbian Irish godfather theme in New Orleans with a child custody twist. There are some really cheesy moments where you'll roll your eyes but it's a good story and worth the listen.
The narration was a huge turn off. Unfortunately the voice and the story did not connect. It was too high pitched and some of the characters came off childlike. In my opinion this probably caused a lot of folks to turn off listening, which is sad for the author.

Historia
Leslie Harris's visit to her upstate New York lakeside family home after a decade of triumphs and disappointment resembles a nightmare more than the quiet vacation she'd hoped for. The unexpected appearance of much-changed town girl, Devon Weber, with whom Leslie shares a secret that haunts them both, rekindles an old heart ache - and reminds Leslie of just why she left.

Revisado: 07-14-15
The story and narration were perfect. Even though Radclyffe books have pretty much the same storyline this brought reflections from the past and present together really smoothly. Listened to this one a bunch of times

The narration of the story was excellent. Really astonishing how many times wwII could've been prevented but a sociopath leader could manipulate the entire world out of fear. How so many were led to follow this person and do heinous acts on other humans is terrifying. Also the bizarre relationships with Italy's Mussolini, Russia's Stalin and Japan.

Based on Nixon’s overlooked recordings, New York Times best-selling author John W. Dean connects the dots between what we’ve come to believe about Watergate and what actually happened Watergate forever changed American politics, and in light of the revelations about the NSA’s widespread surveillance program, the scandal has taken on new significance. Yet remarkably, four decades after Nixon was forced to resign, no one has told the full story of his involvement in Watergate.

Historia
After his December 2003 arrest, registered nurse Charlie Cullen was quickly dubbed "The Angel of Death" by the media. But Cullen was no mercy killer, nor was he a simple monster. He was a favorite son, husband, beloved father, best friend, and celebrated caregiver. Implicated in the deaths of as many as 300 patients, he was also perhaps the most prolific serial killer in American history.

Wow! Well researched and narrated
Revisado: 02-08-15
I've listened to this book a few times. The story brings the light on so many issues from depression, oversights in administration and patient care. It's scary how a person like Charlie could float in a medical system being fired and hired while killing patients driven by his emotional peaks and valleys.
The narration was fantastic.
