Fantastic! A worthy conclusion to a splendid tale.
Revisado: 06-26-16
Ive spent the last seven months listening to all seven Potter books by Jim Dale. The ma holds a world record for his work on this series, having created 134 unique voices for every character in book 6. And while some bemoan that the character of certain voices has changed over time, one can not overstate what an undertaking this is. These were recorded over a span of years, often with several years in between the later books. Dale is a voice artist of a very rare sort, and deserves to be recognized as such. Between him and Stephen Fry, Potter fans have truly been blessed to have such talent bring these works to life. Dale isn't just a reader...he's a story teller and a consummate actor who draws you in to Rowling's world. I felt like I was reading the books for the first time again. And when it was over, I felt an instinctive drive to go back to book 1 and start this journey again.

Historia
Poor Henry. It's not enough that his mother has sent him away from home to learn magic. It's not enough that everyone at his new school calls him Thornmallow because hes prickly on the outside, squishy within. Its not enough that the only talent he shows at Wizard's Hall is an ability to make messes of even the simplest spells. Now, Wizard's Hall is threatened by a cruel sorcerers fearsome beast, and it is up to Henry - er, Thornmallow - to save the day.

Fantastic Memories From my Childhood
Revisado: 07-10-14
What made the experience of listening to Wizard's Hall the most enjoyable?
This is a story I remember from my childhood. It was great to revisit. It has much more of a fable quality, it would make for great bedtime listening with young kids.
What other book might you compare Wizard's Hall to and why?
If your child is still too young for the Harry Potter series, this is a good starter. It's about a young boy who goes to a school of magic and somewhere between making friends and learning spells he must find the courage to confront a great evil that threatens the school. And remember this came out a full 7 years before Harry Potter.
What about Words Take Wing Repertory Company’s performance did you like?
The narrator was very good. The voices are distinct and full of character.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
Before there was Hogwarts, there was Wizard's Hall
