Fascinating book - humanizes, deepens history
Revisado: 04-20-25
The author's ability to make history and meaning vibrate with aliveness - through the exploration of historical documents. He humanizes the stories we know and deepens our understanding. Very fun, interesting, exspansive

Historia
Between his work on the 2014 Audible Audiobook of the Year, Hamlet, Prince of Denmark: A Novel, and his performance of Classic Love Poems, narrator Richard Armitage ( The Hobbit, Hannibal) has quickly become a listener favorite. Now, in this defining performance of Charles Dickens' classic David Copperfield, Armitage lends his unique voice and interpretation, truly inhabiting each character and bringing real energy to the life of one of Dickens' most famous characters.

reader outstanding
Revisado: 06-02-24
the reader is brilliant. and, with the ultimate storyteller, Dickens, this is over thirty hours of joy. Dickens was that author who seems contemporary through the ages. his observations about the lives of women, of the poor - and all they ways men are exploitative sound very current in 2024.

Historia
They Want to Kill Americans is the first detailed look into the heart of the active Trump-led insurgency, setting the stage for a second nation-wide rebellion on American soil. This is a chilling and deeply researched early warning to the nation from a counterterrorism intelligence professional: America is primed for a possible explosive wave of terrorist attacks and armed confrontations that aim to bring about a Donald Trump led dictatorship.

Outstanding Research & Analysis
Revisado: 10-12-22
i grew up in the intelligence community, the child of a Director of Intelligence at the State Department - later an invited speaker at the 50th anniversary of the CIA. I was introduced to Mr.Nance on MSNBC several years ago. What a relief! I'd spent the early years of the last administration constantly wondering where were all the brilliant ethical committed professionals I'd known? Here was the first "expert" I'd heard who actually knew how things work! And, was willing to tell the truth about the corrupt insaniry spread strategically throughout the senior leadership of our government agencies. And, he could see and say: Yes! Putin had influenced the 2016 election in numerous profound ways. See it, Say it, Correct it. Obvious collusion. I hope you read this essential analysis of the internal dangers the United States must directly & immediately address. Thank you, Malcom Nance. Again!

I'm a spy kid of exactly Stuart's age, though my family was in Asia. His ability to interweave his own experiences, growing up internationally, with family life, his father's work and the larger geopolitical realities over time is stunning.

Fascinating Book, India, 1957
Revisado: 08-19-20
I truly enjoyed this fascinating book, with it's detailed description of life in India, as the country moves forward after independence and Partition. My favorite kind of novel: immersive descriptions, believable characters, interesting story, threaded with wisdom and compassion. This audiobook is very well produced.
