Just magnificent. I cried so many times through this book. It was so well told and brings a light to an area many have left in the dark and forgotten, or like myself, never knew much about. Thank you for bringing these characters with their pain and healing shadowing what I am sure thousands went through. Just a glimpse of the horrors and losses that were dealt and the life-long effects of the war, any war, has on all those in the trenches, and the loved ones left behind. Another great one by Kristin Hannah.

Welcoming and Real

I am thoroughly enjoying these episodes. The raw honesty and genuineness Shannen has is just magic. I am so happy that she has used her platform for good, and to bring love, awareness, laughter, and thoughtfulness. I am so happy that she has also gotten the opportunity to dispel the rumors from the past, to put the truth out there, and I can only hope that people realize that not everyone who writes a 'tell-all book' is telling ALL, let alone the truth. Never bought that horrible person's "book" & never will. I hope your light keeps shining on brighter Shannen and I look forward to each episode.

This was my first Andy Weir and my first Ray Porter... WOW, WOW, WOW!!!! I literally giggled at parts and cried at others. Ray Porter teleported me there with the most amazing narration. I am about to go get some more books. This was awesome!

Great storyline, terrible narration

Not going to lie it was a struggle doing the audible on this. I have known this narrator through the other books & I was really hoping she would have gotten better. Her English accent is quite offensive. (I am English). And and she cannot keep the pace . It seemed to me in the first few chapters she was reading what felt like a million miles an hour. But luckily I love the series and I loved the storyline.

Handmaid's tale and Scientology

What did I just waste over 9 hours on!

This was horrible. Sorry, but this was terribly narrated, the voices are fine, it is that she obviously did not pay attention to what was happening and was reading it completely wrong in some areas. Too fast, or VERY angry.. it was so weird. And the book overall was just so boring. Her character is coming off as some mindless, ignorant, angry person and was just horrible. I really wish I could get my money back. I liked the book Kindred, so I was really disappointed that this ended up being so boring.

Powerful and Healing

As a survivor of some horrendous sexual abuse and physical abuse from age 8 and then more abuse from my then-husband in my 20's, I have gone through life having to hide it because my family didn't want their "good name'" tarnished. As a middle-aged woman in my 40's reading this and hearing how I am validated in my pain, my anger, to hear that I am not alone and that I am O.K. I have been telling everyone I know that is in the counseling and teaching fields to read this, and my acquaintances that are wanting to be foster parents or adopt. I think this book is an essential read for anyone working with or that has children. I mean really I think this book should be a must-read for everyone. It is some really eye-opening, powerful stuff. And I want to say that Oprah's statement, in the end, brought me to my knees. I have it running on a loop in my head, my mantra. 'Everything that has happened To You, has also happened For You!' - Oprah Winfrey.

Laughter and tears

What a truly amazing book. I found myself laughing out loud, feeling all the emotions of the characters. And then tears, so many tears. As usual the narrator, Susan Ericksen, was remarkable. This is a love story of friendship, true friendship.

Another great story. And once again, Susan Ericksen is superb in narration! It is a true talent how she seamlessly and smoothly goes between characters. And her Irish accent is terrific!
