Great idea plot for a story… But that’s weird it ends. 3/4 of the story is FMC (nurse)getting her tail beat down on the regular on page and then she turns into a killing bad ass that falls in love somehow. Gratuitous DV on page which comes in handy because Lord knows she can take a punch and get tortured like a champ. prison setting was interesting. MMC is whatever you want him to be in your mind because there’s not much development on the page. This was just OK… even if a bit of a letdown because the potential is there. The story is really interesting. Narrators nailed it with great performances.

perfect blend of drama swoon and steam

I love the triumph of Janelle. Rome gave her the strength she needed. Rome is all in the details book bae. i wish i could of enjoyed her win a little more. Winston James and J Shani Michaels narration was wonderfully cast.

The giddy

Quick easy read. Superb narration that really makes you feel/hear the chemistry between these 2 that had me grinning and swooning....esp when it was time to get down with the get down. Her being a stylist and him an actor was fun. Perfect little escape.

As a reader who really enjoyed the Killers series by this author I was super excited to get an early copy of this new series. Rose Dioro and Jason Clarke narrating was extra icing.
I mostly enjoyed this story. I think I got a disconnect from my impressions/expectations from the blurb and book cover and the other series. It started strong with forced marriage and violence but ran out of steam fairly quickly. I was expecting a stronger heroine (based on her books Ive read). Landon is a young damsel in distress who is incredibly ignorant for someone who grew up in the life or a facade of the life so a few details with Landon and B you just have to go with it even if it doesnt quite make sense. (hes an accountant turned undercover agent to head a cartel as an outsider before hes 30) she falls quick
Enough drama, tension, and action to keep attention. Everything happens you expect to right and tight. Id call this cozy suspense. Good setup and side characters I want to know more of in the next one.
The narration was suberb and 110% helped me stay engaged.

Real Love

Wonderfully written slow burn that delivers when the time comes.
The building blocks of the relationship is so real. I loved going through each stage of falling in love so vividly.
Ace is top shelf book boyfriend even in his late stage human moment of insecurity he manages to give her strength and space. Real life love. Harlows development is honest.
Wonderful narration and I cant wait for the next book.

well if this didn't pull the rug out from under me. Its a great short synopsis of a story I hope goes into more detail because the way we got snatched up by the ending cliffhanger revelation had me in traction!!! 80% of this book is a nice easy sexy romantic story....then BAM...messy drama is on the horizon. I cant wait...actually i can because i hate cliffhangers so hopefully this doesn't get dragged out into a bunch of books but it may be too late for me...Im in. enjoyed the narration.

Good Crime/mafia world

OMG I want the rest of this story...in details! Since I am audio only this is my first book by this author and YES. Great intro and buildup...just when I was ready for the relationship to kick it up a notch it did. I still feel like I need more of them as a couple. The world building and landscape of this mob/crime family was good tho and kept me occupied but i have to say when it ended I was like HEYYY....what about this-them and that. I thoroughly enjoyed both narrators.

A nice escape

Cute and smexy story. Linc thinks his brother is in love with the girl who wrote to him for years while he was deployed and he has it BAD for her but he tries like hell to resist Joanna. You feel his struggle in trying to stay away. Joanna was a stronger heroine doing her own guided tours in a male dominate lifestyle. I liked that as much as she wanted him she didnt tolerate much of his hot/cold. The miscommunication goes on for so long and gets to be frustrating when one simple conversation could of solved the problem. Especially when he has real problems with being out of the military and PTSD that doesn't get much time as he adjust to civilian life. Perfectly fine book that is a little too repetitive with inner dialog and more telling about how they feel versus showing. Small town community is fun and good side characters. Nice amount of spice. Both narrators kept me engaged in the story.

I won this book. I love poetry like this but dont feel articulate enough to express what it is I like and dont like. So many of these poems had me snapping and going down memory lane to "that one time". The vibe was so much life and love and real and honest and sizzle!! I absolutely loved Winston James narration but there were a couple that felt like it supposed to have a different rhythm. That is not based on anything other than what MY ear thought it should be so Im sure everyones mileage will vary.

classical music meets kink

This short novella was super cute to me. As a former orchestra girl I love the premise of this and the shenanigan's rang true to a certain extent. Its actually a pretty well rounded story considering its so short. You are dropped into the middle of the story and I didn't feel like I missed anything.. The personalities are established.. While everyone is listed...this particular story is mainly about Ruby and Ethan voiced by Ava and Connor. You do get a few group interactions with the whole cast (Teddy and Jason) but not much. I "think" Jason Clark is the next guy/ Teddy Hamilton and then book 4 is a "group event" I hate/tolerate the abrupt ending and having to wait 2-3 weeks for the next installment... It looks like the all 4 will be grouped together in a boxset in Sept....I dont know if I have the patience to wait THAT long...esp when each book is less than $5.
