Historia
G'day. I'm still here. Still Pet. Well, I'm only two thirds of a Pet these days, but you might as well call me Pet anyway. Everyone does: everyone but the vampire, that is. Life is more unbalanced these days - cases are cutting closer to home than usual. I thought I was the only one, but there are others like me: kids whose parents were murdered just like mine. Stuff that never fit into place before is beginning fall into place.

missing chapters
Revisado: 04-10-23
I'm only into the first chapter, and I feel as if i missed an entire book of events. I am listening to the books in order, and this isn't the first time it's happened in the series. It's getting annoying.

good story horribly written
Revisado: 01-09-23
I'm honestly disappointed because this book had the potential to be great. Michelle is a great storyteller but a horrible writer. They need a cowriter badly. I feel like I picked up the cliff notes for a trilogy with this 1st book. I'm not even done listening to it. it's that choppy and incomplete. There is no world building, very little character development, and the pace is so erratic. in addition, this book is not done justice by the 1st person perspective of writing. It is obvious that this writer is either very young or has never experienced true physical or emotional trauma in their life because a lot of the events and characters fall emotionally flat and there is no lingering aftermath of the troramatic events, you don't get tortured and walk away perfictly fine with it plus half of the dialog is just missing. I'm not finishing this book I just cant.

the writing seamed rushed
Revisado: 07-07-21
His books are generally fast paced, which is fine but I feel like he didn't put as much build-up and drama into this book as he could of done. Normally I'm on the edge of my seat anticipating what's going to happen next, But I didn't get that this time I almost fell lost in the plot. I also feel like there was a bit of side information that wasn't missing. still a good story will listen to it again.

everything was going good, Plot progression of story characters felt, real the voice actor did an incredible job with what thy where given until chapter 16. It was at this point that things just started to go downhill. For the remainder of the book you feel like you're listening to the cliff notes of the original story the character's dialog and internal malnology just become unrealistic and you can't connect it with them, at all. The writing just gets bad. it's a shame to the story could have been really good. I just had a really hard time getting past the bad writing. I have read other books in the series and the writing was much better in those ones. I personally consider this volume the flop of the entire series.
