Historia
When Leah and Calvin found out they were expecting, they were over the moon. That day would be one to remember forever… but for more reasons than one. That was the day the world changed. That was the day joy turned to fear. A deadly virus broke out, with many of those infected becoming violent and uncontrollable. And it was spreading fast. Realizing they are no longer safe in their own home, they make a break out of the city to find sanctuary. But when Leah is bitten, Calvin faces the unimaginable struggle of having to take care of their newborn alone. Traveling with the baby and his dead wife in tow, he comes across Hannah, a young girl who lost her family to the virus. They make their way across country together, meeting others trying to find their own sanctuary. They eventually find safety but Calvin soon realizes all is not as it seems and he must make an agonizing choice.

Jacqueline Druga Does it again. Great Book
Revisado: 01-10-18
Wow. Very impressed. Tragic tale of love lost and gained. Calvin’s journey with Edward and Hannah was fun and exciting.
We, as a people, can let emotions control so much of what we do that it can actually become detrimental.
The book got me. This is Mrs. Druga’s talent. In a genre where it is easy to not be moved by the death of characters, she always manages to pull the heart strings. She makes you care about characters that are all too often throwaway in most other authors works. I highly recommend this book to anyone who is a fan of the Zombie, post-apocalypse or end times genres.
The narration was fantastic. Mr. Wehrlen does a great job of bringing the characters to life and showing the emotional toll that surviving in a world gone bad can have on a person.

Historia
So what happens when Bigfoot, the Trickster Coyote, the ghost of Sam Steele and the long-lost spirit of The Prophet, brother to the mighty Tecumseh and reincarnated in the form of a giant pink flying Winnebago go toe-to-toe with dark supernatural forces in a cross-Canada battle ranging from Cape Breton to Labrador to Thunder Bay? I'm not saying that it is going to be pretty...

I'm Not Saying It Was Pretty But it sure was funny
Revisado: 01-02-18
Big Hairy Deal was a fascinating adventure that almost reads like a five year old stream of consciousness that is a pure delight to read and/or listen to. The story is filled with tales of Myth and legend and lots of potty humor. Very little gore, most of what was there was gross versus disgusting. Pure, unadulterated fun. The flow of the story is very natural, and full of wonder, fast paced action and imaginative characters. There is a lot of realistic absurdity that should not work in any story but manages to fit right in here. A Flying Pink Winnebago that is the reincarnation of the long lost spirit of the Prophet.
The Narration was done very well and brought the characters to life.
I would recommend this to anyone who is a fan of absurdist, bizarro fun. Also if you like The Tome Of Bill series.
Looking forward to listening to more of Steve Vernon's stuff soon.

Everything that you have read about Bigfoot is a lie. Everything that you have heard about Bigfoot is the truth! Enjoy three stories from the files of The Creep Squad - that pack of cryptids, legends, and nondescript rumors who fight crime and misjustice anywhere that you aren't looking. What if all the stories were true? What if Bigfoot really did exist? What if he depended upon people's belief in him for his very existence? What if he needed a job and the only one he was suited for was keeping the other legends in their place?

If you could sum up Bigfoot Tracks in three words, what would they be?
Three Great Stories
What was one of the most memorable moments of Bigfoot Tracks?
The opening where you find that the narrator is Bigfoot.
Which scene was your favorite?
See Above
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
I don't know if this book was meant to be moving in a sentimental way. I really enjoyed learning about the Canadian Mythological creatures and their legends. aside from Bigfoot, I don't think I had ever heard of them.

Classic?
Revisado: 12-30-17
Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?
Listening to any book is time well spent. I enjoyed this book for its sheer wackiness. I was very interested in this because I have heard a lot of great things about it over the years. Just not sure why this became a classic. I get the point he was trying to make about how someone can suddenly start feeling alienated from their family or society, but I would not say that this is the best way of displaying it. Metamorphosis is metaphor.
If you’ve listened to books by Franz Kafka before, how does this one compare?
I have not listened or read anything by him before.
Have you listened to any of J.D. Kelly’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
Not sure if I listened to anything narrated by J.D. Kelly before but he did a great job in the narration.
Was The Metamorphosis worth the listening time?
Yeah. I had to experience it.
