Good story, bad narration

The story was really great but the female narrator had horrible accents. I cringed every time she did her Russian accent. The male narrator was amazing though.

I have been waiting eagerly for this to come out on audible and it did not disappoint! The banter was perfection, so many emotional revelations, such a satisfying conclusion! Very happy <3

A cute and engaging book!

A let down

The story was very passive and the character building wasn’t very memorable. Everything fell kind of flat. And the FMC just came across as really immature and whiny, almost annoying. There really wasn’t any clear character development or AH HA moments, just kind of knee-jerk decisions and no real build up as to why.

Disappointing

The concept was interesting but the writing was repetitive and the dialogue wasn’t natural. The spice scenes used the same language over and over and they were so frequent that the rest of the story felt forced. Almost every physical encounter, the FMC would say something like “there was no doubt in my mind that this was my mate”… which eventually got cringey.

DNF- corny and not believable

The author repeats phrases A LOT - like “the air thickened” and “their eyes widened”. The characters don’t react to situations in a believable way. The FMC is supposedly a highly educated 21 year old but the way she acts is extremely naive and childish. I really tried to finish but after about half way through the book I couldn’t take it anymore. The female voice actor is decent but makes the FMC sound whiny and the male voice actor makes everyone sound annoying.

Interesting plot, but fmc sounds whiny

The story was interesting but for some reason the narrator made everything the female main character said sound whiny. I feel like it took away from the plot. Other characters were done well though.

The EEEEEETHER

While Stina Nielsen has good variety for different characters, she began saying the word “ether” in such an annoying way that I almost gave up finishing the book.
The writing of this book felt very scattered and the main character was portrayed as kind of unintelligent compared to previous books. It also felt like there was a lot of unnatural attempts to fill in plot holes in conversations and sudden realizations. Overall it was way less enjoyable than the first couple of books.

Amazing characters

Absolutely loved the way she built the world and developed the characters. I would have liked her to use certain phrases less, like “his eyebrows knitted” or “his jaw ticked”
