Where do I begin??

I really wanted to like this book but I found it overly long and drawn out with no real clear cut ending. It was almost like a Dungeons and Dragons book mixed with the Creation Myth mixed with a VR game. If you go with the premise that we are living in a VR world and then "die" and have our minds uploaded into a VR world to live out the whole creation thing again only to get to the end and find out that, IMHO, they are working towards creating the same technology that created them and start the whole process over. I really wanted to like this book but I just couldn't.

This book is reminiscent of the Asimov books and I found it very entertaining. The narrator was great and the story moved along at a good pace all the while giving us incites into the characters. It was a Great Listen and I look forward to the next book.

I received a code from the author for this book and in return I am writing this review. I really loved this story, it was very well written and moved along at a good pace. There were all kinds of things going on and it kept my attention through out the book. I really liked the ending and it reminded me of the ending of "On The Beach" by Nevile Shute. I give this book a 5 out of 5

I was given this box set as a gift from the author. I was unsure about this book when I first started listening to it but then after 5 minutes I was hooked. The narration was great and Michael Pauley really brought Adair's characters to life for me. For me it was one of those books that I just didn't want to stop listening to and I look forward to listening to the rest of the books. If they are anything like the first three they would be well worth the money.

The Narrator should have at least listened to the first 3 books in the series. I can handle the different voice but to change how the names are pronounced? I find that unacceptable. I spent my good money for an inferior product. I doubt that I will finish the series now and that is sad.

The characters and story line are done in great detail
What does Mikael Naramore bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
Mikael is a great reader. I have enjoyed everything he's done that I have listened to.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
Absolutely but we all know Hollywood would cut out so much of the details that it would be lacking, IMHO
Any additional comments?
This is a great series and I got so wrapped up while listening to the audio that I would be late for work because I just couldn't turn it off. I ended up feeling like a character in a Dickens novel........"Please sir, can I have more?" I for one can't wait for the next book to see where he takes the characters. I'd give it a 10 out of 10
