Loving Family and sexy guys
Revisado: 01-11-18
I received this the audio edition of this book for free in exchange for an honest review. This is the 8th book in the Mile High Romance Series, while I read the first 3 books in this series, I didn’t have any problem jumping into this one. The referencing made at the start of the story gave me the impression one of the MCs was in a previous book, but the story stands alone easily. I love when kids are involved, but I would have liked it to be a bit longer and to see a bit more character development. I did wonder if Chad was developed more in a prior story because we only get the backstory on A.J. and Sawyer. I got that the guys each individually cared about the kids and that was attractive to each other, but I didn’t get the instalove between all three guys at practically the same time. That withstanding, I just allowed myself to enjoy the story that was presented and it was a 3.5 star read. I usually find myself wanting a bit more at the end of an Aria Grace story, but this one delivered enough past the consummation of the relationship that I would have been satisfied without the bonus scene. That’s not saying the bonus scene wasn’t worth it; it definitely was. I listened to the audio version of this book and it was great. The narration and pace were good; I could easily differentiate the characters and would recommend this narration to others.

What did you love best about Hidden Identity?
"I was provided this audiobook at no charge by the author, publisher and/or narrator in exchange for an unbiased review via AudiobookBlast dot com.”
Hidden Identity is a great introduction to the Jimmy McSwain series. Son of a slain New York City police officer, Jimmy has chosen to be a private detective. In this first book of the series, he has 3 cases, surveillance on a cheating husband, searching for a missing person, and the ever-haunting case of who killed his father. A good bit of the story is told in Jimmy’s head, but that was ok because I needed to get to know him. They main mystery of the missing person was interesting and the variety of characters were diverse enough that I didn’t get bored. I will read more books in this series and look forward to seeing who Jimmy chooses as his relationship interest.
What about Joel Leslie’s performance did you like?
The narrator was fantastic. Great accents when needed and distinct variations in character voices made the story enjoyable and easy to listen to.

What did you love best about Foxe Tail?
"I was provided this audiobook at no charge by the author, publisher and/or narrator in exchange for an unbiased review via AudiobookBlast dot com.”
Sklyar Foxe is a new high school English teacher who is very likeable. He collects one night stands as friends. This menagerie of friends provide some comedy relief as they trail behind Sklyar attempting to help him stay safe as he inadvertently finds himself in a murder investigation. At times Sklyar is a bit TSTL when investigating things he knows he shouldn’t, but this group won my heart anyway.
Sklyar can be a bit whiny at times with his decision to remain in the closet and how coming out would affect his job, but it seems to be an open secret more than anything else. Skylar tells himself he isn’t looking for more than one night stands on one hand and on the other wishes for more; soon he becomes interested in the new biology teacher/football coach who is hot and cold toward him.
This first story in the series is mostly mystery and small bit of romance. The story ends on a bit of a cliffhanger with only one aspect of the mystery resolved.
I had read this book about 2 years ago and enjoyed meeting Skylar and his friends. Listening to the story on audio was great. The voices fit the characters so well. Even though I’ve already read the next two books in this mystery series, I want to listen to them now just for the enjoyment of the narration.
