Historia
Twenty years ago Emily Mills's father was murdered, and she found his body hanging in the backyard. Her younger sister, Madison, claims she was asleep in her room. Her older sister, Tara, claims she was out with friends. The tragedy drove their mother to suicide and Tara to leave town forever. The killer was caught. The case closed. Ever since, Emily and Madison have tried to forget what happened that night - until an eerily similar murder brings it all back.

So Not Interesting!
Revisado: 02-26-25
It’s a chick-flick that is not the least bit original or interesting. The plot is predictable. It’s really a story about everyone getting in touch with their feelings. The murder mystery seems to be an afterthought.

Too Short To Rate

Historia
His passport read Giovanni Rossi. But decades ago, during the Urban Wars, he was part of a small, secret organization called The Twelve. Responding to an urgent summons from an old compatriot, he landed in New York and eased into the waiting car. And died within minutes… Lieutenant Eve Dallas finds the Rossi case frustrating. She’s got an elderly victim who’d just arrived from Rome; a widow who knows nothing about why he’d left; an as-yet unidentifiable weapon; and zero results on facial recognition.

Who’s The Author
Revisado: 02-14-25
Each book becomes more Nora Roberts, and less J.D. Robb. This book did not offer any suspense; very predictable. The story was too much about feelings, and not enough killing.

Historia
Every day without fail, Travis Devine puts on a cheap suit, grabs his faux-leather briefcase, and boards the 6:20 commuter train to Manhattan, where he works as an entry-level analyst at the city’s most prestigious investment firm. In the mornings, he gazes out the train window at the lavish homes of the uberwealthy, dreaming about joining their ranks. In the evenings, he listens to the fiscal news on his phone, already preparing for the next grueling day in the cutthroat realm of finance. Then one morning Devine’s tedious routine is shattered by an anonymous email: She is dead.

So Predictable
Revisado: 02-12-25
The author has demonstrated a lack of originality. This book is almost of verbatim of every other book he’s written. I suspect that the author just changes the names of the characters.

The Ending is Gr8!
Revisado: 02-08-25
But the rest of the story is unimaginative, predictable, and boring. The narrator does a decent job, but really does not have much to work with. I will not be purchasing the second book in the series.

When the house of the dead man is burgled and that crime is followed by a suspicious fire, Barton desperately needs to speak to his widow, but she’s nowhere to be found. In the space of 24 hours, everyone he wants to talk to has vanished. Then he receives some post, which makes him believe he could be the next to disappear.

Cannot Score Lower
Revisado: 11-06-24
A horrible drudgery to listen to. The narrator was doing their best with what he had to work with, I guess. The story was so boring. I think maybe the author was shooting for an “adult” Harry Potter. This was impossible to finish. I could not get past chapter four. A credit wasted. This book is the best argument that Audible should have a “free listen” period. I should be to return a book for refund if I decide within the first five chapters that the book is horrible.

It seems straightforward to Attorney Nate Shepherd: a middle-aged billionaire dies while celebrating at a wedding reception. The grief-stricken family lashes out, though, blaming the billionaire’s date for his death. When the family brings all of its power to bear, the wheels of local justice threaten to overwhelm the woman. As Nate Shepherd steps in to defend her, he tries to deflect the misplaced anger that’s directed at the woman for the tragedy. But as the investigation progresses, a tangled history unravels, including unexpected ties to Nate’s own life.
