I must say, it got me through my commute! No, it wasn't full of depth...and I didn't expect it to be. It was, however, entertaining. For as much as there were the predictable moments, they were also twists. Between gasps and laughing out loud, it's worth a credit.

For any Black American who's traveled to Ghana or dreamed of doing so, this book will absolutely resonate with you! I'm amazed at how timeless her stories were, since she wrote of experiences of the 60's that reflected mine from 2006! I finally found a voice that spoke to the dicotomy of Black and American, and I only wish I'd found it sooner. This will forever be a favorite book of mine, and if you appreciate any of Maya Angelou's other works, don't worry...she represented as she always does.
