I can remember when sci fi and fantasy used to be shelved together in book shops. Now we have a genre crossover is SCI Fi and Fantasy Gorman delivers a solid story in this genre that falls on the fantasy with sci fi setting side of the genre

A good continuation

Herron has managed to keep the private investigator story with aliens from getting stale. I have had my interest in the characters maintained and will be getting bk 4 when it comes out.
I would say that this is a PI story in a sci fi setting than a sci fi story with a PI story

While this series is rated YA it’s well written enough that it’s enjoyable for those quite a bit older

Love this new series

Glynn has shown the skills he developed in the starship mage, and the duchy of terra series to build a new engaging world. A slightly tighter tactical view point with the main character being a fighter pilot is a fresh new viewpoint for Glynn. Looking forward to bk 2

Solid YA fantasy adventure

I found the magic system where the “Arcanist”/mage’s power new and innovative with the magical powers linked directly to the type of creature they bond with. It provides good scope for new more innovation in the future. Narration is in first person and follows the viewpoint strictly. Looking forward to the next one

Superhero’s crosses with a post apocalyptic dystopian world goes to interesting places. Imagine the wold of fallout with superpowers and the wold it self wants to kill you

Great tight tactical military sci fi

Building on his great work in book 1 Andy takes Cerberus home to root out a terrorist and cover som origin story still kept up the great pacing from bk1 and now I can’t wait for bk3

Great sequel to the first

You can see that Andrew has used the skills he developed writing the fixer series in this new series
Main character John Sullivan while seemingly a character has in this book showed increasing depth and development. Loved the unveiling of the deeper machinations of Johns father Mickey
Can’t wait for the next one to hit audio

Sad because it’s over

The end to this trilogy ended strong. I found it better than book 2. Loved the whole thing but the first epilogue was amazing
