her honesty
Revisado: 01-05-25
mixed narrators. needed only Cher to tell her story. It would have made more sense if the younger narrator only did the younger life. Kind of confused me why it was happening.

some great movie history told here
Revisado: 08-29-24
she has a little too much whoas me attitude and gets very political and is a little hypocritical. But, I still love her. Her story did amaze me in how hard she fought to make great movies and didn't get a ton of credit.

There are definitely 2 sides to everyone's stories. I feel a little guilty about judging this poor girl for her past that was portrayed on TV. She is still so angry and does silly things for attention but I hope she finds some peace. Well done. Riveting story.

Revisado: 11-11-19
I struggled through this book especially in the middle there is too much about the past it was like blah blah blah blah blah... I know is supposed to tie the past to the present but it was way more interesting in the present and way too much info in the psdt

Historia
Julia Fox Garrison refused to listen to the professionals she called Dr. Jerk and Dr. Panic, who - after she suffered a massive, debilitating stroke at age thirty-seven - told her she’d probably die, or to Nurse Doom, who ignored her emergency call button. Instead she heeded the advice of kind, gifted Dr. Neuro, who promised her he would “treat your mind as well as your body.” Julia figured if she could somehow manage to get herself into a wheelchair, at least she’d always find parking. But after many, many months of hospitalization and rehab, Julia not only got into a wheelchair, but she got back out.
