Historia
Elseerian, book one: The assassination of heroes was once a warning...for an invasion that nearly destroyed the world. Nations were slaughtered, cities were erased from existence, and defending armies were crushed into oblivion. With hundreds of thousands dead, the races stood on the verge of extinction. But the end did not come. Instead the black horde vanished, leaving terrified survivors in its wake.

Historia
Centuries ago, the followers of the new gods defeated the old gods, and the folk of legend were banished from the world. With their departure, magic faded from the land. However, the Milesian Accords provided for a new challenge, and its time rapidly approaches. The descendant of the druid who participated in the original challenge, Liam Knox, must forge the sword for the Champion to wield, and write the next set of Accords. Time is running out, though, and the minions of the new gods will stop at nothing to ensure he fails in his tasks.

Historia
If you ever struggle with your connection to God (or whether you even feel connected to a faith at all!), you're not alone. Especially in our modern world, with its relentless, never-ending news cycle, we can all grapple with such questions. Do we do that alone, with despair and resignation? Or do we make sense of it with God, and with hope? In these uncertain times, could believing in the power of divine love make the most sense?

Historia
Many believers feel stunted in their Christian growth. We beat ourselves up over our failures and, in the process, pull away from God because we subconsciously believe He tallies our defects and hangs His head in disappointment. In this new edition - now with a foreword by Michael W. Smith, testimony by Rich Mullins and the author's own epilogue, "Ragamuffin Ten Years Later," Brennan Manning reminds us that nothing could be further from the truth.

Ragamuffins outside the church.
Revisado: 05-29-19
I am pastor of a small church and was given a paperback of this book a few years back, had started to read it until I found the audio copy on Audible.
I found in this book what the member who gave me that copy I believe wanted me to.
I agree with most of Brennan’s views and had been preaching the same message for years. However, what I lacked is what I found within these pages. Brennan has a way with words that no doubt comes from many hours of prayer and discernment. His ability to reduce the complexity of traditional teachings to the basics of grace and love was refreshing and affirming to me.
I would recommend the reading/listening of this book to all lay and clergy who are stuck in a rut of worship or just need to reconnect to a God of grace and love.
Thank to Jody (who gave me the book) and to Brennan for sharing what God laid on you to share.

Historia
From the New York Times best-selling author of An Altar in the World, Barbara Brown Taylor’s Learning to Walk in the Dark provides a way to find spirituality in those times when we don’t have all the answers. Taylor has become increasingly uncomfortable with our tendency to associate all that is good with lightness and all that is evil and dangerous with darkness. Taylor asks us to put aside our fears and anxieties and to explore all that God has to teach us “in the dark.”

While listening to this book I find myself with a yearning for the dark. Not as punishment rather to clarify the light.
I even told my 3 3/4 yr old grandson not to fear the dark.
Thank you for the journey into and through the darkness.

Historia
World-renowned Jesus scholar Marcus J. Borg shows how we can live passionately as Christians in today's world by practicing the vital elements of Christian faith. For the millions of people who have turned away from many traditional beliefs about God, Jesus, and the Bible, but still long for a relevant, nourishing faith, Borg shows why the Christian life can remain a transforming relationship with God. Emphasizing the critical role of daily practice in living the Christian life, he explores how prayer, worship, Sabbath, pilgrimage, and more can be experienced as authentically life-giving practices.
