This was trash, I'm back here after years
Revisado: 03-26-24
I'm attempting to delete it from my library. It's worse than any Black Library book, and that's saying a lot.

As the Indomitus Crusade begins, fleets of mighty warships leave Terra on a vital quest to stabilise Imperium Sanctus in the wake of the Great Rift. The returned primarch, Roboute Guilliman, leads a huge force towards the shrine world of Gathalamor, where stable warp routes will allow the flotilla to spread across the beleaguered southern half of the Imperium.

For incels, by incels. (I exaggerate slightly.)
Revisado: 02-02-23
Okay, so this book's story isn't particularly bad, it's performance is the same great quality we've all come to expect from John Banks, it's just that this book should have never passed the editor's desk in a world where women exist.
To put it plainly; women in the book should have been written better, at least to the same mediocre level as the men instead of as fawning hopeless simps. You wouldn't get that for a story summery but the writing really sells it. I haven't read any of Andy Clark's other books yet and this one makes me worry since I have a few other books of his on my reading list.

This is not the best example of 40k literature. While it's not the worst(see other books by James Swallow) it can easily be skipped, just read the summary online and move on to the next book. I have never finished the paperback and was able to finally finish in audiobook format only thanks to the superb work of the narrator, Jonathan Keeble.

Great story and narration but...
Revisado: 01-04-18
This is exactly what was needed to round out Borne and while the narrator was excellent, her voice and tone made me want to take a nap. I don't mean that I was bored but it felt like I was getting read a bedtime story as a child.
