love the whole book and these narrators!

just as the title says. these narrators are some of my favorites. they really make the authors story come to life. they do even bad books justice but, when you have a great story like this one... it's awesome!!

AHHH I can not tell you enough how much I've enjoyed this series. it's hard to find a book that checks so many boxes.
an amazin storyline. (one that you haven't heard told a million times in different ways..)
seat gripping mystery.
a building romance. (they don't just instantly love each other.)
forbidden love.
love, grief, betrayal, lust, anger.. it's all there.
and the way the author describes the feelings of each emotion is spot on.
the narrator also did amazing. The voice fits the character to a T.. IMO.
I'll be honest, in the first chapter I wasn't sure I could concentrate on her voice with other things happening around me. simply because it's not how I hear people talk everyday and I get distracted but, it quickly changed to I can focus on nothing else!

seriously, you've gotta give this one a listen.

I loved this book. it's got the steamy love hate. A great storyline. an amazing performer. and on top of all that, a great mystery!? insane. everything I could've asked for.

MUST LISTEN!
great book. kept me interested which isn't always easy. had a couple issues with skipping but i think that was the download and not the book itself.
definitely a must listen!!

i absolutely loved this book. it's very well written. it didn't have the hot sexy scenes i expected but, it does lead up to the 2nd book well that i know will have the sexy scenes. it has to. lol

Seeing that this is a very young author tho book fits her world and is an absolutely amazing accomplishment. the story is probably great as a trilogy in its whole.

however.. you got stuck with an utterly horrid narrator. (Laurel Schroeder) She reads like an automation or something.. hanging on to the end of EVERY SINGLE SENTENCE. I seriously skipped through to the male parts half way through the first chapter. I feel so bad for the author. this would've done much better with a good narrator.

ABSOLUTELY LOVE this story. 💕 The Story with its ups and downs. the retelling was grand. The performance so fitting. 💕👌
Never stopped listening from the time I started the book to the end. nothing and no one tore my attention away from this heart warming story with it's gut wrenching twists and end of your seat turns.
loved every minute. although hearing Psyche go through her trials literally hurt me for her as though I knew her personally. I couldn't stop listening.

I LOOOVE the Halven Rising series. read these Two in 2 days. 1 a day. lol I can not wait for the next one! I've never been much in to reading nor audible but, lately I've found that i absolutely Love it. keep The book playing in my headphones at work, when I'm in thr car anf whenever I'm not forced to engage in conversation. 😂 😂

I have found that Jules Barnes is One of my favorite authors so far and have not found ANYONE who compares to Elizabeth in narrating fem based books. love her voice. Although it's so calming i struggle to stay up to finish the chapter when in bed. 😁 buuut, that's not at all a bad thing. 😁

Thanks again Jules for another amazing book and Elizabeth for another perfect read. (or..listen?) lol

maaaannn!! I am so involved in this series. and couldn't wait to hear what happens with Nick. and then they switch up narrators?!?!
This womans voice may work for some book.. (Although I don't personally like her) but she absolutely does not work for this book and WHO TF are these characters?!? I feel like I'm starting an entirely new series.. im pissed! I'm not even a full chapter in and idk if I can even listen to the rest of this book much less the rest of the series!! 😭😡😡


*UPDATE*
I finished the story. I loved this book just as much as the rest of the series. and as much as I wish the first narrator had finished out the whole series.. Once I got used to this new narrator and the new voices of the characters it wasn't as bad as I thought.. with that said i still don't like the narrator for this series. I've just made it work.. 😁

Great short story

I really liked this Book. It definitely kept me wondering. It has a great story line. all my favorites- wolves, Love & mystery! Definitely wasn't expecting that Turn of events and I loved it!
I do feel like the author did a fantastic Job but, missed an opportunity to make this book a little longer. I had honestly just picked a short story to get me through until I found something I really wanted but, I ended up completely tangled up in this lovely story!
The performance of the Narrator fit this book very well too. she did a good job of keeping their voices distinct.
I'd definitely suggest this book.
