Historia
Twelve-year-old Jolene spends every day she can at the library watching her favorite livestream: The Desert Aviator, where twelve-year-old "Addie Earhart" shares her adventures flying an ultralight plane over the desert. While watching this daring girl fly through the sky, Jolene can dream of what it would be like to fly with her, far away from her own troubled home life where her mother struggles with a narcotic addiction. And Addie, who is grieving the loss of her father, finds solace in her online conversations with Jolene, her biggest - and only - fan.

It was okay. I don’t think it will win the award it is nominated for, but I think it deserves to be one of the nominees

Great action adventure for middle grade students
Revisado: 06-10-23
This was a fun list and a good mystery with action and intrigue through out. Originally I was listening because I am a school librarian and it is nominated for one of our state awards, but I enjoyed it enough that I want to check out the sequels as well.

Beware the shadow of many faces, but fear the master of many places.... It’s Monday morning, and I’ve recovered a strange glyph-covered chest from a landfill. By Monday afternoon, someone’s stolen it from my warded loft. Before I can suss out who, why, and most importantly how, I’m neck-deep with the NYPD on a murder case. A bigshot CEO is dead in his penthouse, his kidneys harvested in a way that screams black magic. Only there’s no magic in evidence. Before I can suss out who, why, and most importantly, how, I’m neck-deep with the NYPD on a murder case.

Return to form in the Prof Croft Series
Revisado: 06-17-21
I have to say my interest was waning in the Prof Croft series with the previous two books, but this book I think recaptured what I really liked about the earlier books in the series. The story was interesting from beginning to end with the story being resolved, but teasing what will be in the next book. Once again James Patrick Cronin turns in a great performance. If you enjoyed the previous books in the series you will enjoy this one. If you have not read the previous books in the series you will be lost at times, just start with book 1.

Good, but not better than RP1
Revisado: 11-29-20
I did enjoy the story, but the highlight of this book is Will Wheaton’s narration. I was worried it was going to be just a copy paste of the last story at the start, but there are enough differences and character arch’s to be a good sequel. If you enjoyed RP1, you will enjoy this as well. Definitely worth a credit.

Playing fast and loose with the Order's rules has finally caught up with me. Sentenced to hunt down a cagey insurgent known as the Death Mage, I'm not feeling overly optimistic. Wizards with far more experience have tried and, well...died. But overmatched or not, I want this assignment. The Death Mage killed my mother - he might also be my father.

Centuries before the events of A Game of Thrones, House Targaryen - the only family of dragonlords to survive the Doom of Valyria - took up residence on Dragonstone. Fire & Blood begins their tale with the legendary Aegon the Conqueror, creator of the Iron Throne, and goes on to recount the generations of Targaryens who fought to hold that iconic seat, all the way up to the civil war that nearly tore their dynasty apart.

Good, but an abrupt ending.
Revisado: 12-24-18
I was enjoying the story as it is a deep lore dive into the world of Game of Thrones. I thought it was going to continue until the mad king, but it abruptly ended ending the story on a let down.

Imagine Harry Potter mixed with Pokemon
Revisado: 06-25-17
The magic system reminds me of Pokemon but with "demons". The characters are kind of RPG standard, but a good job of world building for the first novel and I am going to read the next one.

Historia
Minalan gave up a promising career as a professional warmage to live the quiet life of a village spellmonger in the remote mountain valley of Boval. It was a peaceful, beautiful little fief, far from the dangerous feudal petty squabbles of the Five Duchies, on the world of Callidore. There were cows. Lots of cows. And cheese. For six months things went well: He found a quaint little shop, he befriended the local lord, the village folk loved him, he found a sharp young apprentice to help out, and, best yet, he met a comely young widow with the prettiest eyes.

Kind of a let down
Revisado: 06-03-17
I was really digging the story. Narrator did a great job (kind of made me imagine the main character was Sean Connery in Highlander) and I was looking forward to the next story. However I was very disappointed in the ending and the vehicle by which the problem is solved. I just left a bad taste in my mouth and turned me off of the series. If you can handle sex magic as a powerful Swiss Army knife than you should enjoy the story.
