This Kind of War is a monumental study of the conflict that began in June 1950. Successive generations of U.S. military officers have considered this book an indispensable part of their education. T. R. Fehrenbach's narrative brings to life the harrowing and bloody battles that were fought up and down the Korean Peninsula.

Found myself numerous times looking up battles, locations, and persons mentioned.
It’s unfortunate that I did not have this during my assignment to the ROK.
The lost wars are the ones to really research & learn about, this being a key one.

Historia
In The Second, historian and award-winning author Carol Anderson powerfully illuminates the history and impact of the Second Amendment, how it was designed and how it has consistently been constructed to keep African Americans powerless and vulnerable. The Second is neither a 'pro-gun' nor an 'anti-gun' book; the lens is the citizenship rights and human rights of African Americans.

Essential reading for any self proclaim 2A person that is truly about “liberty”, but more specifically for Black/ AFRIKAN descent persons here in this “Land of the Free”.
The narrator’s delivery and tone is superb, almost to the point of having a conversation or lecture.
Went on ahead & ordered the physical copy as this is essential to have in the library when it comes to this country’s HIS story & getting a firm starting position when it comes to 2A & gun laws in general.
Great companion tool & direction pointer for research in regards to the subject.
Carry on!

We're passionate about the Army. We share our passion by helping our soldiers and leaders master the basics. The Ranger Handbook is notorious for the dense information and concepts it holds and takes endless hours to digest. This edition is an updated version of the current TC 3-21.76 | Ranger Handbook (April 2017) with corrections to errors and added commentary with useful tips and more thorough explanations on difficult topics to make them more understandable.

The ideal companion reference guide in audio form.
It’s to be assumed that if one is listening to this they already have acquired the handbook in one form or another.
Perfect for realigning & maintaining the proper mindset w/ applicable information.

Historia
After WWII, Korea was divided in half at the 38th parallel. To the north were the Communists; to the south were the United Nations peacekeeping forces. In June 1950, North Korean soldiers backed by Soviet-built tanks poured across the parallel. The Korean conflict became on of the first expressions of the Cold War between Russia and America. It was an attempt to balance the power that had been thrown so badly out of alignment by WWII. But Korea would bring victory to neither side.

Historia
In 2013 Assata Shakur, founding member of the Black Liberation Army, former Black Panther and godmother of Tupac Shakur, became the first ever woman to make the FBI's most wanted list. Assata Shakur's trial and conviction for the murder of a white State Trooper in the spring of 1973 divided America. Her case quickly became emblematic of race relations and police brutality in the USA. While Assata's detractors continue to label her a ruthless killer, her defenders cite her as the victim of a systematic, racist campaign.

Could’ve been better.
Would’ve appreciated Ms. Shakur reading over the narrator they chose she just wasn’t doing it for me.
I would some what get used to it then once I would restart again I got annoyed all over again.
I can only compare this to Elaine Brown’s book (where she herself narrated).
I do appreciate the revealing aspects of her experience in the legal system & prisons at that time.
Overall the book briefly touched on each phase of her pre Cuban life, the back & forth from present to past was a decent touch and not confusing.
I have reservations about other aspects and how she identified things & people, but over this is an insightful book from one of the more known women of the struggle during that era.
