Historia
A breakneck race against time…and an implacable enemy. An anonymous young woman murdered in a run-down hotel, all identifying characteristics dissolved by acid. A father publicly beheaded in the blistering heat of a Saudi Arabian public square. A notorious Syrian biotech expert found eyeless in a Damascus junkyard. Smoldering human remains on a remote mountainside in Afghanistan. A flawless plot to commit an appalling crime against humanity. One path links them all, and only one man can make the journey. Pilgrim.

Historia
Tom Wade is a determined cop and a relentless man of action - equal parts Harry Bosch and Jack Reacher - who battles police corruption and a ruthless crime lord, against impossible odds. He’s exiled by his superiors to one of King City’s most notorious and violent neighborhoods - a poverty-stricken, gang-ridden hellhole known as Darwin Gardens. It’s a de facto death sentence. But Wade doesn’t fight the potentially fatal reassignment. With just two rookie officers to help him, Wade does the only thing he’s wired to do: his job.

The performance didn’t help the story
Revisado: 11-17-23
It’s a bit farfetched but it’s interesting, unfortunately 20% of the story was identifying who was speaking. So he said, she said breaks up any flow. I blame both the writer and the reader for this. It’s annoying.

I enjoyed John Clark but this 1st book of John Ryan is soooo long winded. Detail is good burying the reader with words is not what I want

Phew!!
Revisado: 03-16-23
The hero is a combination of Reacher, McGuyver, and John Stuart Mills. Ridiculous plot right opt of a trite western. I’ve read good books but this author- he should be embarrassed. I read because I paid and am sorry I did on both scores.
