Happy to see this released on audio, it was a very enjoyable listen. The author’s writing is a little clunky sometimes, particularly in dialogue with a lack of contractions (ex. I am instead of I’m) and word choices (ex. shall instead of will.) It just makes it sound a little stiff and less natural. If you’re new to the author it may impact your enjoyment upon a first listen if you’re picky.

That all said, this series and the Kozlov’s Bodyguards series are delightfully unhinged. I think the narrator did a great job capturing the chaotic and wild atmosphere that is the Koslov brothers lives. I personally loved these books so picking the audio up was an easy choice. Really really looking forward to Lev and Aaron on audio 😋

Great Narration

One of my favorite stories come to life. Both narrators were good and captured the energy of Blu and June’s relationship.

Love the book - narration not for me

I love this story, having read it a few times before I picked up the audio. The couple is extremely passionate and supportive of each other. Their journey to making more out of their lives than the cards they were dealt was really beautiful. I recommend the story highly.

The narration was a mixed bag for me personally. I really loved the way Tank was voiced. It felt extremely right for the character and role he was in the book. CJ had a different voice in my head but I didn’t dislike the way he was voiced. It was really the narration itself that tipped me into not loving the audio. There were times when it felt unnecessary lecherous, when I really see this story as being on the sweet AND steamy end. Tank is a protective, gentle man under all of that hardness and I didn’t really feel like he was reflected that way. The narrator read it in a way designed to titillate and present it as naughty/almost forbidden, when really the story is about two people who are take the good they managed to get their hands on and run with it, alongside having insanely good chemistry.

Overall I think the audiobook is perfectly fine but simply not for me since I had read it before listening. The story is absolutely worth it and is one of my faves.

Incredibly decadent listen. One of my favorites when I feel indulgent. I was happy to see the novella wrapped in with the book to create a cohesive story. Voice acting is top notch.

Stellar voice acting, problematic book

I fully went into this intending to love it just as much as One and Six. And to that end there are so many good things about this book. The pacing is great, the twist is perfect, and the feminization kink is unexpected but VERY sexy. Hunter is a fantastic character. The triplets are a great addition and I love that Rami builds a relationship with all of them individually and as a unit. The voice acting is yet again notch and I had no problems with that.

But. This book does turn racially fetishistic with the way Rami talks about Hunter. He can’t seem to stop mentioning things like “chocolate skin” and thick, full lips. 🍆 size is debatable because it’s a focus in Six as well, but when you pair it with the other things Rami says, it’s very hard not to feel uncomfortable about it. Paired with the “magical dick” trope - which tries to be tongue in cheek but misses the mark with the way it’s used - and it feels icky. I hope the author is able to hear this perspective and maybe make different editing decisions in future books. Additionally, on a smaller scale, Lorrie is a bit overused and often breaks the mood of key high tension scenes. I think cutting even 1/5th of his dialogue would make the flow of scenes smoother.

I love this series. I have relistened to the first two books multiple times and will probably relisten to this another time. I’m looking forward to listening to book 4 so Lorrie can get his true spotlight. Much love to the author, I simply hope that she can examine the language used around her non-white characters a bit more critically.

The twins are my favorite

Both Asa and Avi’s books are my favorite. I think I like Avi’s slightly better if only because of the plot and the bonus in the epilogue where you see the dynamic between the 4 of them. Love love love these four.

Love this series. Zachary Zaba does an incredible job with both Asher and Charlie. If you like sweet comfort reads that act as an audible hub, give this one a try

I love all the books in this series but the audiobook for Say I Do is the best in the series. The way Declan Winters reads Harlow is absolute perfection.
