This book gave me the needed "how to start", big picture, all things to consider and help me questioning what the real reasons and benefits would be. It goes beyond the usual build a shelter and get some food. I guess I had a more summer camping idea and now I can take it from a long term, permanent perspective. Septic, power and water are the big three, I think, but each has its own complexity and he gives a pretty good overview of all of them including kind of structure, nature of the land, and compromises one might end up making. This book gives wonderful ideas how you can live if everything goes to HELL and you have to fend for yourself.

The arrangement of the book follows a very practical and logical order. The very first chapter lays the groundwork by establishing the fact that the way our marriage is going – good or bad – is actually a picture of our relationship with Christ. This is helpful because it avoids the common pitfall of merely trying to fix the “problems” between us and our spouse, instead of dealing with the root issue of why those “problems” are arising in the first place.

Flame (Vinglarkenbauer) from Canada by way of Frxsolis Settlement, Planet Bravon, Solaris Quadrant, has been arrested for public intoxication due to an overindulgence of ice cream. The arresting officer is the most gorgeous woman he's ever seen. Now, he has to figure out how to win her love. This story had me laughing out loud – it was hysterical, absurd, full of romance, action, and adventure. One of the best I’ve read in a while. I am really looking forward to the next book, truly recommend the entire series! I loved the high that Flame gets from eating too much ice cream!!

A well written female lead

Our hero drifter was honestly perfectly written. He had just the right amount of strength mixed with the right amount of care.
Even the heroine was surprisingly well written. A sad reality of romance novels is that often heroines are overlooked in their complexity in favor of perfect heroes. Ava's shuttle started to come apart and she was still strapped to her seat. she came around, she was in a witch doctor's hut. She started examining her, poking and prodding her. To check if she was fertile! Ava got the idea of what they had planned for her. I like the mouthy girl, hot silent mountain of a man, and adventure galore. But where is the SEX! Half way through the book and nothing. A lot of close calls and a lot of tension. This book was full of twists and turns. If you like aliens and a good story line you’ll like these characters.
