Historia
Life has become a farcical mess for icy British A-lister Elizabeth Thornton. America's most-hated villain stars in a top-rated TV medical drama that she hates. Now, she's been romantically linked to her perky, new co-star, Summer, due to the young woman's clumsiness. As a closeted actress, that's the last thing Elizabeth needs. If she could just get her dream movie role, life would be so much better. The only problem is that the eccentric French film-maker offering it insists on meeting her "girlfriend", Summer, first.

Soundly Enjoyable Romance
Revisado: 04-01-22
Very much enjoyed this book! It was somewhat predictable and trope-y, as many romances are, but the characters are generally well written and the voice acting is nothing short of excellent.
I have a few minor gripes with how oblivious one of the main characters is with one if the main antagonists, I feel it strains plausible deniability that she knew her for so long and never saw that she was just a terrible person, but all the other plots and characters make great sense, and the screen time devoted to it isn't excessive so it's very much a flaw that can largely be overlooked.
The main characters have great chemistry and their scenes togeather are always a joy to read, or stressful in the best way.
The voice acting is fantastic. Dawe does an impressive range of accents, and all the characters of the opposite sex sound great (Something I think is difficult for either sex to pull off). The timing of all the lines and the emotion in it is so convincing that it's hard to notice, because it's just so perfect throughout the entire book. Which is as it should be.
Overall: Slightly trashy romance with a Hollywood theme. 8/10 would reccomend!

The conclusion of the Mistborn trilogy fulfills all the promise of the first two books. Revelations abound, connections rooted in early chapters of the series click into place, and surprises, as satisfying as they are stunning, blossom like fireworks to dazzle and delight. It all leads up to a finale unmatched for originality and audacity that will leave listeners shaking their heads in wonder, as if awaking from an amazing dream.

One of the best ends to one of the best trilogies

A divinely well written archetypal hero's journey. To say more would be criminal. Read this book (after the first two books in the trilogy of course).

After a disastrous blind date, Darcy Lowell is desperate to stop her well-meaning brother from playing matchmaker ever again. Love—and the inevitable heartbreak—is the last thing she wants. So she fibs and says her latest setup was a success. Darcy doesn't expect her lie to bite her in the ass. Elle Jones, one of the astrologers behind the popular Twitter account, Oh My Stars, dreams of finding her soul mate. But she knows it is most assuredly not Darcy... a no-nonsense stick-in-the-mud, who is way too analytical, punctual, and skeptical for someone as free-spirited as Elle.

Fantastic
Revisado: 08-26-21
It's been a month since I re-listened to this book, but I just finished a separate romance and decided to return to rate this one.
Written in the stars is the perfect slightly trashy romance in my opinion. The characters are lovable, and believable. Even when you're infuriated with what they do it makes sense. You understand the pain they go through, and there's many touching moments or gestures throughout the book that make your heart go "awww," as well as a couple of steamier scenes that play off charachters well.
The pop culture references are enjoyable, and all the side charachters get set up for their own sequels, so if you want more from Bellefleur you're in luck!
If I ever write a fun romance I hope it's as good as this one. 10/10

One of the greatest books of all time

I don't think I need to say much about the book itself, given it's stature, so I'll instead say the narrator was excellent and I would firmly recommend this version. All the characters sound unique and the tone always fits the story

Historia
Seventeen-year-old cynic Saoirse Clarke isn't looking for a relationship. But when she meets mischievous Ruby, that rule goes right out the window. Sort of. Because Ruby has a loophole in mind: a summer of all the best cliché movie montage dates, with a definite ending come fall - no broken hearts, no messy breakup. It would be the perfect plan, if they weren’t forgetting one thing about the Falling in Love Montage: when it's over, the characters have fallen in love...for real.

Good, but unexpected
Revisado: 04-03-21
The review that said this book was emotionally heavier than expected is greedy accurate. This book is good. It's well writen and enjoyable. The characters are fairly interesting, although occasionally I felt like banging my head on a wall because the main character was being a moron. But, she's a teen, and it was believable idiocy, so I can't exactly fault the book necessarily. Still, I probably would have made the MC a bit less of an idiot lol.
That said, my main complaint is that the summary you read before buying this book is that it's not what's inside. I mean, the summary does explain maybe *half* the book fine, but there's a lot of stuff about family relations, divorce, illness, and all that sort of stuff. Basically all of which is writen about competently at worst, and very well at best, but it sort of came out of left field. If you want a light fun romance I can't recommend this one. But if you don't mind heavy emotional stuff being included this is a great listen. But this is why this is a 4 star review and not a 5.
The narrator delivers the lines well, although I commonly listen to things on Audible and wish the narrator did more voice acting, as sometimes it's a bit confusing when every character sounds almost exactly the same. Still, all the base level things were there, and the deliveries were good. 4/5
Lastly, and I only include it because I was curious, but the amount of policial stuff is fairly low, and there was only one, fairly short, scene where I kind of just rolled my eyes while listening. I've listened to/ read lots of lesbian romances, but they were almost all either Yuri anime or manga, or fanfiction, neither of which has the politics of YA fiction, so I was a bit concerned. But fear not, this book has nothing that you can't just shrug and reasonably explain as just the characters being themselves, and none of the characters feel particularly political. 0/5 political treatise but 5/5 for not feeling like I was lectured at any point.
Would recommend so long as you know it won't be fun happy time for 10 hours.
