Historia
H.P. Lovecraft is a starving, skeptical American writer of the weird and horrific, struggling to make ends meet in Connecticut. Aleister Crowley is a famous British occultist focused on running his own magic organization, the O.T.O. Though Crowley and Lovecraft's lives differ to a high degree, neither man is aware of the fate they share. They’ll soon find out, in Dark Ripple.

Historical Bios mixed with the supernatural
Revisado: 01-19-18
If you are interested in learning about HP Lovecraft or Alistair Crowley, this book will definitely interest you. This is two short Bios that are tied together by a supernatural figure.
I did not find it scary, only unusual. Definitely stands out from the pack.
The narrator, Rick Gregory, did a great job as usual.

Historia
Have you ever noticed that things aren't always what they seem? Life will always throw you a curved ball when you least expect it. We see only what we expect to see, and sometimes we could be in for a big surprise. And I sure got a surprise I can tell you, in spades. A surprise that lead to blackmail and murder. That's when I really got...Trouble in Mind.

Very simple plot and cliche characters.
Revisado: 01-17-18
Trouble in mind was a quick listen. It does not reinvent the wheel nor was it trying to. It featured a lot of cliches and tropes of the PI genre. Some of the plot felt too convenient and the characters were pretty cardboard. There was a lot of the main character making cheesy statements with a “wink, wink” to the audience, which could have been cool ala Ferris Beuller’s Day Off, but here, it does not work.
If you like PI stories and need a quick listen, you could do worse.
The narration was okay. May have been better with some better material.

Historia
The complete set of three short stories that set up the Sick Robot universe in which robots infected with human cancer cells become mortal, fall in love, and decide they're more than a little tired of being second-class citizens into the city they helped build. Blending cyber and steampunk to create a retro-fusion landscape where pets are 4-D printed and people travel in tubes of compressed air, these stories will transport you into a world of surreal beauty.

Very good collection to set up a world
Revisado: 01-16-18
Sick Robot was a fun collection of stories that all connect to build a world that is both terrifying and exciting at the same time. The revolution will be televised and Humans may not be on the winning side. Interesting take on how the robots achieve a form of life and the idea that they are tired of being slapped around and treated as slaves is metaphorically great. This is rich ground here for potential sequels and / or a series. I would love to see the further adventures of John and Capri. Great listen.
The narration was excellent. The accents were done very well and the characters (robots becoming human) slowly came to life, literally.
