Narrator is way to over the top

I’m three chapters in and I cannot finish this. This narrator is so over the top that it feels like I’m watching a bad Hallmark movie. I can’t even tell if the story is good because it’s so over acted. It’s too bad, I have enjoyed several of Nora Roberts past books.

Not my favorite but still good

I’m a Lisa Jewell fan, and this book was good and an easy listen, but I’ve enjoyed several of her books more. The talk of rape, sexual assault, and child abuse could be very triggering in this book, so if that’s an issue for you, be warned. Still very interesting and I still very much enjoyed her style of writing.

My teenagers favorite book!

My daughter has read this book about 5 times and convinced me to read it, and I’m glad I did. It was an easy enjoyable listen! I suggested it to my sister, and she really liked it too. I’m more of a mystery/thriller type reader, but this was nice to listen to while I was working in the garden, very easy to follow!
