Historia
As a child Chris Hooper dreamed of monsters. But in deep space, he found only darkness and isolation. Then, on planet LV178, he and his fellow miners discovered a storm-scoured, sand-blasted hell - and trimonite, the hardest material known to man. When a shuttle crashes into the mining ship Marion, the miners learn that there was more than trimonite deep in the caverns. There was evil, hibernating - and waiting for suitable prey.

ever watched Kids in The Hall?
Revisado: 02-22-25
i've enjoyed another reading by Tim, but this one was a real struggle. The voice affectation used for women including Ripley(which Weaver has a strong voice) sounds exactly like one Bruce McCulloch female characters in Kids of The Hall. It's totally nuts and changes the character.

Historia
New York Times bestselling coauthors Shäron Moalem and Daniel Kraus's terrifying sci-fi horror thriller takes place in a future that is much nearer than you think. It is a world where scientific experimentation is exploited for commercial profit and under-supervised cutting-edge technology creates a menace that threatens the very fabric of our existence.

Absolutely Worth Your Time...
Revisado: 05-09-24
Shocked there are only 7 reviews to date; this is -not- just a rat invasion book. Perhaps one of the best science thrillers I have read and the performance is easily of the best I've ever heard.
Though comparable to Jurassic Park in theme, it was a far more rewarding read; exciting, intelligent, horrific, surprising.
I will be recommending this book,

Excellent Podcast for any Alien fan
Revisado: 10-07-22
Awesome podcast! Doesnt matter what episode you jump in on, casual and big fans will feel at home. The long time and reoccuring hosts of PO are always a total joy, wether joking or serious. Quality podcast with many excellent deep dives, interviews and open questions. Last thing to say, is the hosts are very respectful and welcoming to differing opinions, which there are a lot of in Alien series, no airlocks on the PO.

Historia
“Shy” Hunt and the tech team from McAllen Integrations thought they’d have an easy job - set up environmental systems for the brand new Hasanova Data Solutions colony, built on the abandoned ruins of a complex known as “Charybdis”. There are just two problems: The colony belongs to the Iranian state, so diplomacy is strained at best, and the complex is located above a series of hidden caves that contain deadly secrets.

Totally loved it
Revisado: 02-14-22
I haven't enjoyed a book this much in years. I hope we get a lot more of Alex White in the Alien universe. For those curious, sure there is well written action and horror but better also excellent scenarios, awesome setting, great pacing. Felt more like I 'watched' a book, had a great time.

Industry expert Alex Aniel spent two years interviewing key former members of Capcom staff, allowing him to tell the inside story of how Resident Evil was envisioned as early as the late 1980s, how its unexpected and unprecedented success saved the company from financial trouble, how the series struggled at the turn of the century, and, eventually, how a new generation of creators was born after the release of Resident Evil 4.

Historia
One of the most cunning and merciless officers of the First Order, Captain Phasma commands the favor of her superiors, the respect of her peers, and the terror of her enemies. But for all her renown, Phasma remains as virtually unknown as the impassive expression on her gleaming chrome helmet. Now, an adversary is bent on unearthing her mysterious origins - and exposing a secret she guards as zealously and ruthlessly as she serves her masters.

Cardinal (birds) exist in Star Wars!
Revisado: 01-07-18
Written for a younger audience, the themes are not very challenging but still enjoyable to an adult. The added sound is a nice touch and not over-done and only adds to the story's cinamatic pace. My only complaint is,early all the time spent on the Phasmas origin planet, which is interesting but want more about the dashing chrome armored Phasma! If you are like myself, and dont like origin stories taking all the mystery out of it, I feel like you can still read this one, as it still leaves mystery around phasma.

Historia
For over a century, humans, dwarves, gnomes, and elves have lived together in relative peace. But times have changed, the uneasy peace is over, and now the races are fighting once again. The only good elf, it seems, is a dead elf. Geralt of Rivia, the cunning assassin known as The Witcher, has been waiting for the birth of a prophesied child. This child has the power to change the world - for good, or for evil.

GREAT! listen to at .5 speed or .75 if added
Revisado: 04-26-16
I typically only enjoy 'low' fantasy novels and those which have some grit and dirt to them all the more. I ignored this series for some time and that was a mistake. The writing(and translation) is very good, the world is definately interesting and not choked full of the fantastical or fantasy tropes. The writing was refreshing, and personally inspiring. The lead male was more interesting than I had expected. The entire novel follows a different pace than most I have read and is not at all designed to be a stand alone book, I would not bother unless I wanted specifically a series. character is more interesting than an doubting mind would expect.
The preformance is VERY good, and not suprising based on who is reading. although the entire recording sounds sped up. I like to deeply visualize every event and facial expression etc. getting full appreciation of the writers work, so I decided to listen at half speed and it actually felt more natural and allowed me to keep pace. A .75 speed may be best, if the option gets added.

Historia
Before their extinction, dinosaurs dominated Earth's terrestrial habitats for about 160 million years. They present the ultimate puzzle in forensic science, but we have learned a great deal about them in the last 50 years. This lecture series will explain the evolutionary and ecological relationships among dinosaurs, what it might have been like to be present in their time, and the question of what ultimately brought about the total extinction of dinosaurs at the end of the Cretaceous Period.

Reintroducing Self to Dinosaurs(zoological fan)
Revisado: 06-02-15
A very clearly written lecture series that is very informative to the casual or blooming dinosaur fan. I highly recommend this lecture series, I only wish it was longer. The narration is really very good, I don't think it could be better for this type of read. The subject matter includes many of the interesting topics regarding surprisingly interesting paleontological history, and covers most of the major information in what we have learned about dinosaurs in recent years. I typically only listen to narration of fiction, yet this was just as enjoyable, explanations of more complex ideas are well explained for the casual fan, but never felt too dumbed down. If there were a 'part 2' or more in depth version, I would get it without question. If you enjoy the chapter about feathers, I recommend the book "Feathers" also available on Audible(sorry, cant look up authors name).
