Historia
When an esteemed criminology professor is found lifeless at an international conference, it's up to DCI Whitney Walker and forensic psychologist Dr. Georgina Cavendish to unravel the mystery. The professor had unveiled Death's Shadow—a ground-breaking but unsettling theory that could redefine the understanding of serial killers. The theory captivated yet unnerved scholars, leaving a lingering air of dread within the conference halls. When another delegate meets a gruesome end, it becomes horrifyingly clear: the conference has become a hunting ground.

This book should appeal to those who enjoy history
Revisado: 05-27-21
Both history and architecture are major themes in this book as well as mild relationship adventures. Don't look for much action.

Outstanding Listen
Revisado: 07-04-18
When I first started listening, I found the voice of the narrator somewhat distracting. After listening for awhile, I found him perfect for the voice of the father. The story was fascinating throughout, leading us through many possibilities of what was done by whom. The court process, along with various twist and turns kept me interested throughout. The ending was a bombshell for me. In my opinion, a great book.

Historia
Divorced from his own wife and carrying on halfheartedly with another man's, saddled with a bum knee and friends who make enemies redundant, Sully now has one new problem to cope with: a long-estranged son who is in imminent danger of following in his father's footsteps. With its uproarious humor and a heart that embraces humanity's follies as well as its triumphs, Nobody's Fool, from Pulitzer Prize-winning author, Richard Russo, is storytelling at its most generous. Nobody’s Fool was made into a movie starring Paul Newman, Bruce Willis, Jessica Tandy, and Melody Griffith.

Funny, touching, a great read.
Revisado: 08-14-16
Russo builds characters with great skill. His use of humor as well as his ability to tell a story stand out in all his writings. Sully is an aging man who almost seems to try to mess up his life & succeeds well doing it. Many of his friends are interesting characters as well. I hated to see the book end and immediately read "Everybody's Fool" This is a must read after reading "Nobody's Fool."

Historia
In a case that spans 20 years, Harry Bosch links the bullet from a recent crime to a file from 1992, the killing of a young female photographer during the L.A. riots. Harry originally investigated the murder, but it was then handed off to the Riot Crimes Task Force and never solved. Now Bosch's ballistics match indicates that her death was not random violence, but something more personal, and connected to a deeper intrigue. Like an investigator combing through the wreckage after a plane crash, Bosch searches for the "black box", the one piece of evidence that will pull the case together.

Quick, fun read.
What did you like best about this story?
Characters were well drawn--of course Connelly fans already know Bosch quite well.
What three words best describe Michael McConnohie’s voice?
The reader was ok, not quite as good as others who have done the Bosch books.
