Historia
When Navy SEAL Adam Brown woke up on March 17, 2010, he didn’t know he would die that night in the Hindu Kush Mountains of Afghanistan - but he was ready: In a letter to his children, not meant to be seen unless the worst happened, he wrote, "I’m not afraid of anything that might happen to me on this earth, because I know no matter what, nothing can take my spirit from me."

Story about a great American, flaws and all
Revisado: 08-10-12
Where does Fearless rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
I would say this book is in the top ten. Many books in this category focus on bang bang curse curse yell yell. However this book focuses on one mans struggle and his overcoming it through a genuine faith in Christ. It never comes off as a Bible beating book and I'm sure Adam would really appreciate that.
What does Paul Michael bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
He brings the emotion of Adam, his friends and family. I don't think you would get that through the print version unless you have a very good imagination.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
This book contains some very serious scenes but interspersed with in them are some moments that made me laugh out loud. For example a touching scene when Adam and his SEAL buddies gathered with their families to celebrate a birthday party. Each man understanding that it could very well be the last time they are with their friends on this earth. All the while sporting Blue's Clue's hats. Just one of the scenes that both makes you laugh and cry nearly simultaneously.
Any additional comments?
This is one of the very few accounts of a SEAL's life that I actually couldn't put down. Most other accounts are full of battles and crude language everywhere. This book is different. It is not devoid of those things entirely but when they are used it brings some humanity and authenticity to scenes. It really feels like the author made every effort to show Adam's flaws and his strengths. Much like the Bible shows that people are people, not perfect but striving for perfection. I normally don't even bother to write reviews because I don't think many books are worth the effort but this one absolutely deserves the time and energy it takes to write a review for it. I love the fact that while Adam is a Christian he and this book don't get preachy. Being a Christian myself I don't even like preachy because it doesn't work and it's annoying. What a breath of fresh air.

Historia
Mike Huckabee's run for the Republican presidential nomination was truly amazing. But beyond the headlines, few understand his transformation from a long-shot Evangelical candidate into a viable contender. Huckabee now presents the inside story of his low-budget, grassroots campaign. He treated middle-class and working-class voters with respect and spoke to their concerns about the economy, society, and the way our country is run.

A new way to look at government
Revisado: 08-31-09
This book may completely challenge the way you look at what our government should be doing and what we should be doing as citizens of this great nation. Weather you are a democrat or republican, I believe you will be blessed by reading this wonderful book. This book goes beyond party lines and really makes simple and practical sense.

Historia
"Make me beautiful." That's what Marci wants from the old woman, not "inner beauty", but real, physical attractiveness to save her from being a teenage outcast. The woman offers a gift in the form of a story, a strange tale from 1940s Bosnia about a group of soldiers who terrorize a town of women and children, brutalize their priest, and murder a child.

a proper perspective
Revisado: 12-19-08
This is one of my favorite books of all time. It puts our lives here on this earth in proper perspective. If you know Jesus and you need encouragement this is a book that will show you the human capability to rise to the highest love through Christ's help.
I normally don't sit down and listen to full books at one sitting but I just couldn't stop. This book is captivating from beginning to end. I believe it will bless you greatly.
