Historia
You are one conversation away from changing your life. We all crave connection. We were never meant to live alone or communicate only in “likes” and retweets. In Every Conversation Counts, TV host and human connection keynote speaker Riaz Meghji digs deep into the dangers of isolation and loneliness, our social pandemic, that have been brought into sharp relief by the coronavirus crisis. He tackles a uniquely modern question: Why are we so connected, and yet so alone - and how can we reconnect?

The Author is an Ideolog
Revisado: 08-20-24
The book is good, but I have to question the author's research because it appears he ran all the facts through his ideological filter first. I don't understand why someone trying to sell a book would alienate 50% of the audience by choosing a political side.
It doesn't matter if it's right or left. If you have to run your facts through the filter of your party, then your conclusions are suspect at best. That is my take from this book. However, aside from holding my nose through portions of the book and putting up with the author's bias, I found the rest of the book well-written and helpful. I guess that's just the times we are living in, and there are plenty of authors who use a more balanced and authentic approach to their writing. I probably won't read any more of his books.

Historia
“Long live the King” hailed Entertainment Weekly upon publication of Stephen King’s On Writing. Part memoir, part master class by one of the bestselling authors of all time, this superb volume is a revealing and practical view of the writer’s craft, comprising the basic tools of the trade every writer must have. King’s advice is grounded in his vivid memories from childhood through his emergence as a writer, from his struggling early career to his widely reported, near-fatal accident in 1999—and how the inextricable link between writing and living spurred his recovery.

Read this book even if you’re not a writer
Revisado: 07-04-20
King nailed the art of instructional writing with this book. I loved how he took me through his life to explain him as a writer. I walked away with a more complete sense of King as a writer and by extension me as a writer.
He also scolded me for not wanting to learn the rules grammar and dammit he was right!
Great read!
