Historia
An unidentified nude female sits propped against a fountain in Central Park. There are no signs of struggle. When Dr. Kay Scarpetta and her colleagues Benton Wesley and Pete Marino arrive on the scene, they instantly recognize the signature of serial killer Temple Brooks Gault. Scarpetta, on assignment with the FBI, visits the New York City morgue on Christmas morning, where she must use her forensic expertise to give a name to the nameless - a difficult task. But as she sorts through conflicting forensic clues, Gault claims his next victim.

A poor reading
Revisado: 07-04-11
I generally like Patricia Cornwall books, but I simply couldn't stand listening to the reading of this book due to the voice artist's choice of readings. For example, she plays one of the major characters as a monotonic, Dan-Akroyd-in-Dragnet kind of a cop, which might be fine if he wasn't also the protaganoist's lover and needed to show some sensitivity on occassion. Other voices are similary stereotypical and don't display any depth of characters. Normally a lover of audiobooks, this is the first time I've had to stop listening because the reading was SO bad.

Fantastic!

An incredible story. Well written, well told, very well read. Provides great insights on what it was like to live as a Jew in Vienna, and then what it was like to live as an imposter.

A compelling story
Revisado: 05-13-11
It's a great story, and not as predictable as one might think. My only complaint is that the reader makes the characters, particularly the female character, seem vapid. But the story is so good that it's worth it anyway.

Historia
Ben Macintyre’s Agent Zigzag was hailed as “rollicking, spellbinding” (New York Times), “wildly improbable but entirely true” (Entertainment Weekly), and, quite simply, “the best book ever written” (Boston Globe). In his new book, Operation Mincemeat, he tells an extraordinary story that will delight his legions of fans. In 1943, from a windowless basement office in London, two brilliant intelligence officers conceived a plan that was both simple and complicated - Operation Mincemeat.

Even though you know the ending, this is like a cliffhanger. A fantastic story, well written and well read

Incredible Story
Revisado: 06-19-10
This is a cohesive, well-told, and incredibly lived story. It's hard to believe that the author was so young when she wrote it.
