Historia
In a small apartment, Black and White, as the two men are known, begin a conversation that leads each back through his own history, mining the origins of two fundamentally opposing world views. White is a professor whose seemingly enviable existence of relative ease has left him nonetheless in despair. Black, an ex-con and ex-addict, is the more hopeful of the menthough he is just as desperate to convince White of the power of faith as White is desperate to deny it.

Very well delivered
Revisado: 01-07-23
This is a beautiful conversation between two views of reality that can be neither proved or disproved. Each failing to persuade the other there is an impasse that rings true of many of our relationships. The ending is unsatisfying but true of many such encounters.

Historia
It began as just another evening of fantasy gaming with James, Karl, Andrea, and the rest ready to assume their various roles as wizard, cleric, warrior, or thief. But sorcerous gamemaster Professor Deighton had something else planned for this unsuspecting group of college students. And the "game" soon became a matter of life and death as the seven adventurers found themselves transported to an alternate world and into the bodies of the actual characters they had been pretending to be....

Memories of Old
Revisado: 11-19-15
Would you listen to The Sleeping Dragon again? Why?
I read these books as a kid and loved them. What a trip down memory lane.
Who was your favorite character and why?
Karl, because he's a self-aware hero.
What do you think the narrator could have done better?
The narrator makes some of the characters sound like they are sissies. The Dragon and Lou has high squeaky voices, which seems out of place.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
No, this is a come and go as you please book, which is great.
Any additional comments?
This will make all the nerdy games you have ever played way more interesting to think about. What would it be like to be magically transported into one of them?
