Historia
From the time I joined the Knights of Boudica, I’ve pretended to be just like all the others. A magic specialty or two. Skilled with a blade. An innate sense of justice. But normal is overrated, right? Now that I know there are more ancient and powerful stones out there, I won’t rest until I find them. If that means using more of my magic and risking exposure, then it’s a chance I have to take. My research leads me to a place I never imagined. A place where history is stored. And secrets are revealed. Unfortunately, my discoveries put a target on my back.

Absolutely furious with a 3rd booo cliff hanger
Revisado: 07-19-22
Good book. Once again a lot of push and pull of Callan and London. But to end on that cliff hanger. I would of been beyond peeved I’m glad I waited for book 4. I will be disappointed in Callan storyline if he lets her down but alas he really hasn’t proven to me he’s an all good prince. To bad she didn’t add in a love triangle. I know it’s been over done but London deserves a bit of of romance. These books lean much more paranormal fantasy then HEA. So I hope something goes right for London someday. Needs a bit more back bone. And less compassion.

2nd book Featuring Keith’s story
Revisado: 07-02-19
Overall it was good contemporary romance. A lot of angst and a bit to much indecisive thoughts. This story follows the death of Keith’s and Maisys mother. While also intertwining their newly found sister Rocky. Can’t say I loved this book and I really do enjoy most of Novak’s novels. This one pushed on my nerves to many times. I disliked the contempt there mother had in both books and she never really comes out with a redemption moment. Cannot stand the desperate housewives moments that were mixed into the series. Because we would all hope some people would have more back bone then that. But the main characters storylines dragged on like the last book, took way to long for both of them to admit their feelings. Plus I’m not sure if I like there new sister anymore. Overall it was interesting read. I just can’t really stand how wishy washy the family seems to be! I wonder if they will do another book on Rocky’s marriage. I really don’t think I’d care to read it though. I can stand behind a good redemption story but pushovers leave me unimpressed. At points I skipped over parts because I just can’t comprehend how anyone could move past that idea even when you love someone. This story was more of a drama.

Interesting mystery/ romance
Revisado: 06-23-19
Brenda Novak is really good at mystery romance novels. This is somewhat of a classic who done it with romance. I like the story. The main character Maisy is a heartbroken divorced woman who recently lost a child. The story carves out deep family angst. Tragic past childhood. Plus a simmering romance between maisy and her new neighbor. This is more contemporary romance. With some dark twists. I didn’t particular like how long Maisy struggled trusting her relationship. Understandable with her past but it got on my nerves to hear her display the same thoughts most of the books. Either way Novak can always write a good story with some steamy love scenes. But romance doesn’t swallow the book. More of a family dynamic novel.

Interesting who done it
Revisado: 10-09-18
I really liked Lily and Coles story, but most of this book is about Amber and Spence. Victoria is a great story teller this is my first YA novel by her and it didn’t disappoint. This plot could have went multiple ways and I kind of knew or suspected who did it but I will agree with other people and say it was a long drawn out story glad I bought audio and didn’t read because I might have quit reading the book. We all make inevitable sacrifices in our life. This was a tough read. Some parts were so interesting but I was amazed how many characters included in this book were actually really never a part of story. I give it a 3.5
